The FAQ will tell you that it usually takes about 72 hours, which, in my limited experience, has held true. There are slowdowns sometimes, tho, when it takes longer.

The faq says 3 days however if you are a new writer 3-5 days or occasionally longer is not uncommon. My first was five days.

It is even longer when a contest is in progress, and the results of the Nude Day Contest haven't been announced yet.

Make sure that your story is still pending
Sometimes if you have too many grammar or punctuation errors, or if they think there is some bestiality, snuff, or underage sex in your story they reject it. If it's still 'pending' then dont worry, but if it got rejected, click on the link and they will tell you what went wrong.
