For those Torchwood fans...it's back on Starz or Xfinity.tv if you prefer.

Season 1 Ep. 1 now available on Xfintity.

Synopsis: Torchwood has been closed down...everyone is dead but Gwen and she is in hiding with hubby and a new baby.

Suddenly, people stop dying. All over the world and Capt. Jack wakes up and is ...

Tune in...

Oh yes! We've already watched eps 1 and 2 -- yay for On Demand! Good stuff. Loved the CIA agent at the airport, after the fight.

I've only seen Ep1, don't have Starz on cable but I can watch on Xfinity.tv for free! :D

Episode 2 aired Saturday here but I haven't seen it yet. Episode 1 was brilliant. And I'm not even all that fond of Gwen.

I've seen the first two episodes too. You can see Starz influance in more than casting. They sure enjoyed using helicopters. :) It's a good show now, once the cast and crew gel, it will be great.

Oh, bummer. I thought it'd be up since it aired on Friday.

I think there is a weeks delay on xfinity, I'll keep an eye out for it.

ETA: Ep 2 just went up...watching it now!

ETA: Damn! You need to be a Starz customer to see it.

Oh no. :(

I have to say that Bill Pullman, who's one of my favorite actors anyway, has been just fantastic in this.

I watched the first episode of the season thinking Chiwetel Ejifor was in it, but it was Mekhi Phifer, and then I noticed it was probably a Dr Who spinoff and quickly lost interest.

It is a spin off from a long time ago.

In the UK we've just had episode 1, number 2 hits the screens on Thursday. Nice to know we're not that far behind you guys for once!

That I didn't know existed. I thought I had heard the name before, but figured I was hearing advanced word of something being ported over from another medium such as books like Game of Thrones was. You see, I tend to zone out when people start talking about Dr Who, as I really don't care one bit about the show.

Torchwood is way different from Dr Who. Much darker, most times. I believe "Torchwood" was what they called the Dr Who tapes -- it's an anagram -- some time ago as a security measure. Still, the tone is far different.

I understand your feelings toward Dr. Who--it is definitely an acquired taste for Americans. I found the previous incarnations of the show entirely unwatchable. The last seven seasons have been very entertaining, however.

Torchwood is a spin-off, now in it's fourth season. It is, in my opinion, a much better show. Before dismissing this season entirely, do yourself a favor and watch season three, Torchwood: Children of the Earth. My wife cannot stand Dr. Who, but she enjoyed Children of the Earth immensely. Its only five hours, so check it out. If you are a science fiction fan, you might like it.

I love both the classic and new DW's, but agree it's an acquired taste. I figure I was predisposed to like it since my grandmother's from England. ;)

Children of the Earth was terrific, and I second the recommendation.

Did they give him a fake chin? If they didn't, poor Billy Boy is looking rough.

I suppose they might have, but no matter -- I think this is one of his best performances. Besides, didn't Nicole Kidman win an Oscar for wearing a fake nose? :) (Kidding, kidding.)

I tried to remember but I'm not sure I've ever seen Pullman play a bad guy.
