Out of all the video games you've ever played, which one has been your all-time favorite?

What did you like about it? Do you still go back and play it occasionally?

Do series count?

I'd say Mario Sunshine

Honorable mentions, L4D series, Pokemon series, F-zero x, Brawl, Mario Kart wii.

Harvest Moon is my all time fave. Especially the 64 version....but the ex got the 64 in the split. :(

Also in love with the sims 2 pc. But my dvd player fell off the bed so no more of that. I like making little movies, and when I'm upset it's fun to set a house on fire and remove all of the doors.

KOTOR is my back up. I have to crash a friend's place to play it until I get a new tv. One of the main characters was the first fictional "person" I ever fantasized about. My ex encouraged me to fantasize, because I never found it apealing or nessisary and he thought I was missing out, until he found out I was masterbating to that game character.

Oh the Playboy game is a blast too. The challenge of getting the perfect shot, getting as many chicks to bang you as possible, making perfect magazines. It the sims but you get to see tits. :)

NONE.

In the past I dated two separate guys who apparently felt videogames were more important than some real live nookie. That kind of leaves a really bad taste in your mouth for them.

I'm all for someone playing a game now and then to unwind, but when you've been on the same game for the past six hours and I try to hold a conversation with you and all I manage to get is a grunt, yet when you level up on the game you're shouting for joy - yeah there's a HUGE problem there.

yup had one of those too. I could look at him and go "baby, I wanna fuck" and nothing. Of course this is the same fella who would rather masterbate than have me blow him. Go figure.

When my hands are feeling up to it, I love playing the Soul Caliber series. I've got 2 on the PS2 and 4 on the PS3. My custom characters have been banned in inter-house tournaments because they're "OP."

I also play World of Warcraft and am looking forward to the Zerg package for Starcraft. Will probably get the special edition if I can afford it so I can have the WoW pet and the other nifty things in it.

Super Mario Bros 1 and 3.
Battletoads.
Giana Sisters.

The original Populous. Or Lemmings. They don't make 'em like that any more.

Or Prince of Persia for having a damsel in distress trapped in a tower. There had to be an angle somewhere that made this question belong in here :)

I like games that have excellent stories and dialogue the most; my absolute favorite would have to be Mass Effect 2, until the third one comes out. Then, it'll probably change to that. Everything about that game just sort of clicked into place for me, but the cool story missions for each party member really made it work.

Aside from that, I'm also a huge fan of the Portal series, more for the awesome characters, writing and voice work than for the (still excellent) gameplay.

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past... will always hold a place in my heart. First game I beat all by myself back in '93. Still have my SNES and break it out from time to time, it's still so much fun.

hmmm

Toe Jam and Earl Three
Zombies Ate My Neighbors
Final Fantasy 7
Arc the Lad

I forgot to add Chrono Cross

Oh My God, I still play that to this day. It's in my top 5 favorites, for sure.

Socom 3 and Socom Combined Assault for the PS2, two years of my life gone.....

I agree on Mass Effect 2. That game has an epic storyline on the level of Star Wars.

I also really like the Splinter Cell series (except for the last one) and Rainbow Six.

For older games, Mario 64, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Golden Eye are all modern day classics.
