Decided to start a rumour at work today. It seems that Big Red has an elephant tatooed on her butt!? She, of course, denies this. Now we are trying to figure out where the trunk would be.......

middle of the back ????

It sure was one of my favorite places in Calgary.

One thing i though very funny about CowTown was when the chuck wagon/ rodeo was in town all the people I saw most days wearing suits, collar & tie were all in cowboy gear. LOL

People laugh when i tell them I've been to Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump.

http://www.head-smashed-in.com/

yep the Calgary Stampede.......they wear that gear for weeks before and after the Stampede.

Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump was aptly named for good reason :)

We have a problem with our wombats. They are sick in some way, their coats are scraggly and they're out feeding in broad daylight. They let you get within a couple of feet before they move away.
It's not normal :(

Well I wouldn't have a clue - I don't have any wombats that live near me !

I don't like seeing our native animals having problems.
The devils are almost all gone from this area, and now the wombats are behaving strangely.
Bad times :(

I made german comfort food for dinner - speck, saurkraut and spinach with horseradish sauce :)
I feel full and comforted.

Hi everyone

:)
I was away for a few years well maybe 4 i am not sure.
Re-visited earlier today on Lit, and pleased to see some of the people i knew earlier are still here.

I am now a registered nurse after going back to Uni at 48. In my first year of work as a new graduate.
It's good to be earning some dough.
my two sons live with me now 18 and almost 21. I live in Sydney and am trying to keep a relationship going with a wonderful wonderful nurse who has introduced me to lots of things, in particular nudism and camping and travelling.
She is now working in Broken Hill so it is hard. A lot lol. Skype sex lol.

Look forward to catching up later.

Mark

Sure was, a very interesting place.

It was crazy the way the whole of Calgary changed during the Stampede period.

I also loved the hot springs at Radium & loved to relief Ainsworth was another one I enjoyed.

Have you made any inquiries to animal welware groups to see if anything can be done?

One of the ladies who has visited here for a while had a wombat wandering her property but a neighbour shot & killed it, he is likely a hero of the gun lobby.

BANDIT:heart: & I are still going strong with us doing home haemo dialysis which has improved my general well being out of sight.

My daughter has also recently become a nurse but has been retrenched by Macquarie Hospital along with others.

Do I Look Like I Give A Fuck= DILLIGAF ! my only interest in the cricket was if you or Calli won the bet although was there any loss?

Nope no losers there :D

actually look at it now - Australia is
as for living in the past - only twice in 20 years ...about time you lot stopped fighting over a soccer ball and started playing better in sports that count :D:D

pajama cricket - you've been watching the IPL shit again haven't you :D:D:D

glad to hear you're feeling better mate

LOL just had a quick look at the ICC web site, Eng 3rd and Aust 5th, so ner! :p:D

Hey why go back only 20 years, I have fond memories of watching the Aussies play in the early 80's lol.

You are right about the IPL, and I dont watch it. pajama cricket is one day cricket, we need a name for that T20 shite!

Sorry, Warrior Queen, but it sounds as if they may have mange. Have lots of the wee beasties here. The mange is spread by dogs etc. There isn't a lot you can do. They get crankier as the mange gets worse. Keep any dogs you have away from them and where they frequent. It's very contagious. For some reason it doesn't seem to effect the roos or possums??

I just added two pics of myself to Facebook and I don't think I've been this angry since I lost the ability to walk 16 years ago

Mange doesn't explain them being out in broad daylight.
They are not only out, but very slow and don't run away when approached.
I rang the wildlife people today - they're sending someone out tomorrow.
