I don't believe that Obama is dumb. Nor do I believe Bush was dumb. Nor are the people in each man's administration. I do believe the media is mostly dumb, and oversimplifies what they see, filtering it through their personal biases, giving us shallow coverage of world events. And that makes readers think the players on the world stage are dumb.

I also believe it's quite possible Kevin Hassett could be correct. But instead of the Russians brainwashing the Manchurian Candidate to become a stealth Socialist, our own country's educational system did it.

That was his parents (and maternal grandparents) all the way. They were the ones who joined the "little red" Unitarian church in Hawaii and brough in Frank Marshall Davis as a "mentor..."

Where he was polished in Alinsky, Harvard, that's a private "institution..."

Obama's never even been in the Public Education system unless you count the Madrassa in Indonesia; hardly a bastion of free-market capitalism and individual liberty.

As far as 'Porkulus' is concerned no one with any credibility is touting it as having accomplished anything. Krugman is yelling, "Not enough" while the administration and it's apologists are alternating between, "It would have been worse", and the ubiquitous, "It's all Bush's fault." And it's more than obvious that the unwashed masses aren't buying any of the swill being shoveled out.

I bitched about Bush for six years, and through all that time the Republicans on this board never trashed me the way the Democrats do now that "their guy" is "in charge."

They were angry when Bush was President, but they seem even more angry now that Obama is President.
