I once held a job as a dj at a very small radio station. I would work the very early morning shift, alone, and if I needed to go to the restroom I couldn't leave dead air so I would play "Smoke On The Water" because it was such a long song. My friends would laugh because if they heard that song come on, they knew what was happening!

The modern trance or dance music has a hint of "shamenistic rhythm", the reason why it is called "trance"... it is modern, late 9o's to date, but its quality of sound reflects the "basic" human rhythm of dance. And that my friends has been around for hundreds of thousands of years...
