I've only been floored once or twice by Kybs. I must not be spending enough time in her threads.

I pledge to never again post that sort of grossness. Unless it's in a thread started by one of those douche canoes™
 
No insult is complete without that look of total irritation and disgust. Prepubescent girls do that look best.
 
God damn. I took your name in vain just the other night on here in reference to sangria weather.

Here are sangria concoctions I'm currently contemplating:
Raspberry-basil-vodka-prosecco
Lemon-rosemary-vodka-pinot grigio
Strawberry-thyme-brandy-malbec

Those all sound fantastic. Prosecco in sangria is always a good idea. I've been craving watermelon and mint lately. Wonder if I can make that work? That sounds more like a twist on a mojito, though. Which I am okay with. Summer! Yay! There is time for all sorts of fruity booze-a-hols.

she is a wild girl. very bright too. good taste in music. the bushwhacking shock pics are kind of funny sometimes, after the shock wears off.:)

Mmmm, yes!! I was thinking of including mangoes. I don't know if I've had honey/champagne mangoes. Are those the ones that are yellow/green and tear-shaped? I think they're called Atualfo here. They're so soft and sweet; they'd be perfect. Cilantro. So creative! I think it would be good! Would it overpower the mint? I've found fresh mint can be kinda wimpy sometimes. Maybe cilantro instead of mint, though. Ohhh and a few chunks of pineapple. Pineapple makes everything better, and I feel like it would be a liquor sponge.

Agreed. Pineapple is the best of all liquor sponges. Perfect. I might put pineapple in all my sangria, all summer long. On day two, it'd be a perfect combination of boozy and sweet.
And, yes, ataulfo is the same as champagne/honey/freska... about a dozen trade names for the same mango -- it turns sort of orangey to yellowy brown when it's super ripe (I like them best when they're all wrinkly). It has a great flesh-to-pit ratio. I have been buying lots of them lately because they're at the end of their season. I turn them into salsa with cilantro, onions, limes and peppers, which gave me the idea to combine them with cilantro in a sangria. Those two flavors are swell together.

That's what I'm going to call the watermelon-mint sangria recipe I'm ripping off from Phelia.

You should call it delicious whores instead. Because it'll (ideally) make your vadge taste sweeter from all those yummy natural sugars swirling around in your system. :D
