Who are you addressing? Certainly not me, since I didn't turn or twist her words. I provided two exact quotes from Palin.
You, among others, twisting words to try to make them mean what you want them to, in each of your posts.
about_average said:I guess I am blind as a bat because I sure don't see in that quote where it says Revere fired a shot or rang a bell. Or that even a part of the reason for his ride was to warn the British.
about_average said:Show me a quote from a historian where Revere rang bells and fired his guns like Palin said he did.
about_average said:Do you really think the British didn't know the militia was there? Apparently Palin and you think they didn't know.
about_average said:No where in Revere's account did he even hint that part of his purpose was to warn the British.
about_average said:She said Paul Revere was ringing the bells and firing his gun to warn the British.
about_average said:But the fact is that she made the statement as if the purpose of Revere's, Dawes' and Prescott's rides was to warn the British that they weren't going to take away our guns.
about_average said:Even though along the way they did stop at houses and warn the residents also, that wasn't the main purpose. And they weren't ringing bells and shooting guns.
You constantly dismiss every piece of historical evidence that supports Palin's description of the midnight ride of Paul Revere, for each and every issue.
I've quoted several historical records to show that there were shots fired and bells ringing, yet you twist words and cling to your objection to mean "Revere fired shots and rang bells"
Even Paul Revere's own words state that he warned the British against going further. Yet, you insist that the record show that it was his goal all along to do.
You certainly are twisting Sarah Palin's short statement recollecting the historical moment to criticize her, when it is very apparent that she is much more well informed on the event than you claim to be.
