What happened to all of the doom and gloom economic threads?

13,000,000 out of work, worst numbers since Sept, 2010. Is that the Double Dip Express coming down the tracks?

I see you and the "conservatives" are lined up at the station in hopeful anticipation.

Funny that your cutoff is Sept. 2010 and not the depths of the recession when we were bleeding 600K jobs per month. But that might show some actual progress.

I see you are still lined up for hand-outs.

At least the real estate market is on the upswing!!!

Lets face it

By any stretch, by any spin

The NIGGER and NIGGER SUPORTERS have zero cred on the economy!

Remember, teh NIGGERS were screaming WORST ECONOMY since H Hoover during Bush, when unemployment was 5%

In 2004, When NIGGER KERRRY and INDICTED EDWARDS ran, they screamed WORST ECONOMY

PUSSY NIGGER PELOSI etc etc etc all screamed the same

WOULD WE NOT LOVE TO HAVE THAT NOW?

Hey NIGGERS, ITS OK TO GET OF THE PLANTATION

Today’s Questions for the President

June 3, 2011 10:49 A.M. By Peter Kirsanow

It’s been three months since the U.S. Government Accountability Office issued its report stating that the federal government wastes tens of billions of dollars due to duplication of programs and other inefficiencies. Cumulatively, the waste is estimated to be approximately $200 billion per year. Much of the waste can be eliminated by your administration without the need for congressional action.

What steps has your administration taken to reduce the waste identified in the GAO’s report? What is the dollar value of the waste you expect to eliminate in the next fiscal year and how was that value calculated? What programs have you targeted for elimination and why were they selected?

RECOVERY SUMMER II? The sequel won’t be as good as the original, and the original stunk. Michael Walsh: Who’ll Save Us From This “Recovery?”

Two years into the Obama administration, the country’s finances are a looming calamity. An unemployment rate of more than 8 percent has become the new normal, and even that understates real unemployment, because so many Americans have simply left the job market.

The $800 billion stimulus was a complete failure, unless you count “government jobs saved” as a useful goal. “Quantitative easing” — the Federal Reserve’s printing money to buy Treasury debt — has already failed twice, yet it’s being contemplated again.

And does anyone doubt Obama and the Democrats would have hiked taxes last fall had they not suffered such a humiliating defeat in the 2010 election?

Read the whole thing. And weep.

SO IS THIS THE HOPE, OR THE CHANGE: Low wages, low growth, low employment: Brace for the age of contraction.

Let's stroll down memory lane. Joe Biden, April 2010:

"Some time in the next couple of months we're going to be creating between 250,000 jobs a month and 500,000 jobs a month," Biden said at a fundraiser today in Pittsburgh. ...

The administration's own forecast projects that the labor market will add about 100,000 jobs a month for the rest of the year [2010], then around 200,000 jobs a month next year [2011], and 250,000 jobs a month in 2012. ...

"We caught a lot of bad breaks on the way down," Biden said. "We're going to catch a few good breaks because of good planning on the way up."

Apparently the "bad breaks" continue. Unexpectedly!

Indicators Point to a Small-Business Rebound
Evidence is growing that the nation's small companies may be on a comeback.

http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/219716

After years of painful losses and gut-wrenching cutbacks, many small businesses are now enjoying a much-deserved moment in the sun.

Across the country, small businesses are reporting a greater number of accepted loan applications. They're hiring added workers, bankruptcy filings are down, and their confidence in the economy has gained ground in the past year.

Still, inflation and consumer confidence remain significant and growing concerns. Further, access to capital is still restricted for many.

Bad news for the conservatives who desperately want/need this great country to fail.

Should we be cheering the microscopic successes of the Obama policy?

Under Obama we went from -600,000 jobs per month to about +132,000 jobs per month so far this year. a +732,000 per month swing is "microscopic" though, huh?

Can I quote you on this?

I hope what you say is true, but an assertion like that should be substantiated with a credible source.

Lazy now, but if you yahoo search February 2011 job gains, March 2011, etc, it's easy to find. The most recent month was only +38k, but the past few months were like +177k, +188k, +217k....

Just as I thought, you just tossed up some numbers.

Here you go, moron. Now you'll just magically vanish, no apology, no taking responsibility for your stupid accusations. You know, this data is easy to find and took me all of eight seconds to locate:

Total nonfarm payroll employment was little changed in May (+54,000), following gains
that averaged 220,000 in the prior 3 months. Private-sector employment continued to
trend up (+83,000), although by a much smaller amount than the average for the prior
3 months (+244,000). In May, job gains occurred in professional and business services,
health care, and mining. Local government employment continued to trend down. Employment
in other major industries changed little over the month. (See table B-1.)

Employment in professional and business services continued to increase in May (+44,000).
Notable job gains occurred in accounting and bookkeeping services (+18,000) and in
computer systems design and related services (+8,000). Employment in temporary help
services was little changed.

Health care employment continued to expand in May (+17,000). Employment in the industry
had risen by an average of 24,000 per month over the prior 12 months.

Mining added 7,000 jobs in May. Employment in mining has risen by 115,000 since a recent
low point in October 2009.

Employment in manufacturing changed little in May (-5,000). Job gains in fabricated metal
products and in machinery were offset by losses in transportation equipment, paper and
paper products, and printing and related support activities. The manufacturing industry
added 243,000 jobs from a recent low point in December 2009 through April 2011.

Construction employment was essentially unchanged in May. Employment in the industry
has shown little movement on net since early 2010, after having fallen sharply during
the 2007-09 period.

Employment in local government continued to decline over the month (-28,000). Local
government has lost 446,000 jobs since an employment peak in September 2008.

By the way, the May job numbers were adjusted up to +54,000.
