FLASHBACK - 31st December 2008
Since then, more research was done to prove it more. There are probably more sapphic women than first calculated. Many turn to other women due to bad relationships with men, and many women do not make these things public, because as I mentioned before, they are truely "private" relationships, even secret.
But, how do you fall in love with another woman? It's easy, it happens when you are both alone and confess your feelings. First you are trusted friends and then things go beyond that. You open up to each other naturally. Then you curiously compare yourselves to each other and discover that empathic bond. We are all the same (or almost), we are physically equal in body and it doesn't take long to realise in mind also. Believe it or not, the LOVE begins in the friendship right at the start and through time it progresses.
Notice in all female company how friends become intimate. Perhaps a little drink breaks down that barrier and as long as you all feel confident, the only public display is the kissing. We can not resist that kissing and intimate hugging
You will often find that this happens when you are younger, when you are learning and experimenting. This where you discover you are totally lesbian or sapphic (bi-fem). This happened between Jules and I. We were not technically lesbian. We both adored men too

Sienna,
WOW...So very interesting. Women always seem to be more affectionate and are not looked as strangely when they hug in public. However....when you men have ANY close contact, people sometimes wonder. Especially if the men are slightly thin.
I think nothing of 2 women being close as long as they are not trying to look BUTCH and trying to look and act more like a man.
Excellent research...Thank you again for expanding my horizons.
