This is going to be a reload of a previous thread that never really got off the ground. I really liked the idea of it and I want to start it back up. The original thread is found here: http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=719681&highlight=Aura+bender
And the basic details of it I'll post right here.
This will be vaguely like Avatar: The Last Airbender.
On the distant planet Sargon, early evolution saw a combination of primate and feline DNA. This new race continued to evolve along the same course as humans in our world, leading to people that look mostly like humans, but with some feline features, such as slit pupils, raised cat ears, tails, and enhanced speed and agility.
A few other races of animal evolved in a somewhat similar manner, but they look like humanoid animals rather than humans with animal traits. True furries. They are more barbaric that the cat people.
The catboys and catgirls, called felidans, are very civilized. They have cities and kingdoms equal to that of medieval Europe. The humanoid animal races are still more controlled by their instincts and usually live in camps or villages out in the wild.
Humanoid cats: Pantherans. Many of them are barbarian warriors and can be very violent. Very few speak coherent Felidan (basically, English).
Humanoid wolves: Wulvarn. Though barbaric like the Pantherans, they are much smarter, and are the equevilent of native American tribes.
Humanoid dogs: Daugarn. Distant cousins of the Wulvarn, they have grown to adopt the Felidans more modern methods, creating their own cities.
So, we have the Felidans, which are basically humans with cat ears, tails, eyes, etc. The other three races are cats, dogs, and wolves that have the same shape as the human body, but are still covered in fur and have fangs and claws.
The story here is that the Daugarn have adopted a Felidan lifestyle, but have yet to replicate their Crystal technology (magical crystals with various properties, more on that below). The Felidan Kingdom refuses to share their technology with the Daugarn Empire, declaring them too barbaric to use the power right, despite their social reforms of recent centuries. This enrages Emporer Doberman, so he sends the Pitbulls, the most ferocious clan of warriors he has, to attack Felidans traveling abroad and steal their Crystals.
The Crystal Wars begin. The Felidan Kingdom retaliates against the Daugarn Empire, and all-out war grips the Southern Continent. Most non-warrior Felidans flee to their capital on the Northern Continent, Emerald City. This, along with Port Sapphire on the coast, become the only two Felidan strongholds to survive the war.
The reason the Daugarn are so powerful is due mostly to their larger size and strength, in addition to the powers of the Crystals they continue to steal from defeated Felidans. Felidans are usually between five and six feet tall, whereas the Daugarn are usually seven feet or taller. The Pitbulls may be the most savage fighters of the Daugarn, but they are not the tallest -- the Great Danes are around ten feet tall and VERY muscular, almost like trolls or ogres. They are not the smartest, but make great and loyal bodyguards and soldiers.
More on this later.
Crystal Technology: Basically, a long time ago a Felidan tinkerer found a cave with crystals that flashed various colors. He discovered that if he polished the gems and looked through them, he could see different colors of energy in the world around him. He could also interact with them by moving a second stone in his hand through the various fields of energy. He discovered by mistake that if you slammed two stones against each other while both were in a wave of the same colored energy, the crystals absorbed some of it and became magical.
Over the decades the process was refined. Now, Felidans have several kinds of Crystals. They are made in Crystal Factories near the mines in the Sharpfang Mountains to the north. Here are the kinds.
Red Crystals: Fire/Lightning powers
Blue Crystals: Water/Ice powers
White Crystals: Wind/Air powers
Yellow Crystals: Rock/Sand powers
Green Crystals: Plant/Life powers
Purple Crystals: Psionic powers (limited telepathy, telekinesis [very few are born with a Purple Aura])
Black Crystals: Death/Pain powers (Originally, no Crystals were made with the Black Aura, for its obvious negative nature. However, Emperor Doberman had them made shortly after they conquered their first Crystal Factory and discovered the hidden Seventh Aura. People are only born with a Black Aura if they have a dark soul, and such people are cleansed at birth, purifying their soul of it's Black Aura. Their Aura then changes to something else.
When a Felidan is born, their Aura is made of one of these colored energies. If they hold a Crystal bound with their same kind of energy, they can use powers of that element, just like benders from Avatar. I have added an extra Plant/Life element, meaning once can manipulate existing plants or create new ones from seed. Like, one could have a seed in their hand and then make a vine grow out of it very fast to use as a grappling hook, and then return it to its seed form afterword. They can control the cycle of life within the plants.
Anyway, our characters would be Felidan refugees living in Emerald City. From there we can go anywhere. I'll add some plot ideas later. Some can be royalty and nobles.
More info later. Lemme know if anyone is interested.
