Suddenly things are looking up - all this nerd love is fantastic... though to be honest I always thought I was more of a geek (nerd being the types who lack social skills and geeks being the technical ones who are still able to function in public and still rock the socks off of a lady here and there...) But speaking as a fellow geek, I find men that game (tabletop, rpg, console) are so much better in bed and more fun to play with. They have imagination and creativity.

Nerds are cute. My attention was caught while I was in high school by a guy painting/assembling a Veratech model (Robotech/Macross fighter mech/plane). After a nearly three year chase, I caught him and have kept him.

Would much rather have a nerd that makes me smile, laugh and feel like I'm the most beautiful woman on the planet than be with a buffed up alpha male type that thinks he's deity's gift to women.

Hands that are skilled at assembling models, computers and other things that require attention to detail are often good at other things

I love nerdy boys To be honest, computer programming bores me to tears, but I love everything else nerdy!
My favourite ever first date was going to see X-Men 3 then going back to his place to complain about deviations from the source material, why it was so much worse than the first and second movies and coming up with ways to improve it. We then got drunk, had pizza and made out for hours, I stayed over we had drunky sex and went out for about 6 months, it was awesome!

I guess this might highlight some of the nerd/geek differences. For example, I really never got into the whole comics and gaming thing. I'm familiar with them, know some things about them, but it wasn't my thing. As for computers, that's more my style, but not in the "I sit around programming day in and day out" and don't wash regularly. First, I work in I.T. but not just as a programmer (tried it, didn't like it), so I'm up on all the geeky computer stuff, crazy amounts of knowledge related to operating systems, port numbers for services, routing... I could clearly go on and on. That also means I'm up on most of the running memes and other bits of net culture. At the same time, that isn't the only way I'm geeky. I have a odd amount of knowledge on a lot of subjects and really enjoy learning more bits of what often turn out to be "useless trivia". I find the inner workings of mechanical things rather intriguing and can really get "zen" about tuning an engine or rebuilding the carb on my snowblower... so I'm sort of all over the map on my geek ways. On the side, this geek also gets out of the house and spends time geeking out with high-tech but simple camping gadgets and things of that nature.

All that rambling being said, I find I get along with females who are a bit internet-geeky like I am, and of course, she has to be intelligent. Nothing is a bigger turn off than a stupid girl, regardless of what she might look like. Unfortunately, it seems many of the geek girls my age have already been snatched up by some other lucky geek... but I keep my eyes open for one. It's good knowing there are some out there!
