So a friend of mine is really into spanking, and I love to bare hand her. The other day she mentioned a flogging scene in a story she read made her really wet.

I have never used one before, so I am wondering what it feels like to be struck by one. She is not into pain, but likes the tingles and heat that my bare hand gives her ass.

Can anyone help me explain to her what it would feel like to have one used on her?

Also is there a good technique I should use if we decide to try one?

I don't know that anyone *can* explain what it feels like, because it all depends on the type of flogger; the material from which the falls are made; the number, width and length of the falls; the way in which the flogger is wielded: straight strokes, either up/down or side-to-side; figure-eights; Florentines (for which two identical floggers are advised); or any set of combinations an evil mind can come up with; and her personal tolerance for the sensations you're providing her.

Your thought concerning "trying one out" is a good idea, but remember that many adult stores carry not-the-best quality toys, especially in the flogger section. Some adult stores (IME) will kind of "turn a blind eye" if you want to try a flogger on her bottom (through her clothing, of course!). Others may have had issues with law enforcement and not even want you to smack her hand/arm for fear of vice cops. You might want to quietly inquire with the clerk/manager before swinging anything.

If she's "not into pain," I would strongly suggest you avoid the floggers with any type of rubber falls. If she's just looking for tingles and heat, some of the nylon string floggers can provide that, but be aware that your arm may get rather tired before you can provide *enough* tingle/heat. Leather (in many of its varieties as used for falls) can do so quite a bit more easily. Just start out gently and check with her frequently to make sure she's okay with what's happening.

Technique? *Snort* You grasp the flogger by the handle and swing it, hopefully in the right direction that the falls hit her ass (or thighs, or back, or some combination of the preceding {making sure you avoid the kidney area if you go above the buttocks}). Seriously, if she's never been flogged before, you don't have to get into anything fancy. The simplest flogging stroke has her standing or kneeling with her bottom "stuck out" and you standing to one side and swinging the flogger in a horizontal plane to strike the buttocks. You can vary the sensations she experiences by having the entire fall of the flogger occur at once (thud), having the entire fall "sweep" across her buttocks (or chosen target area) (semi-thud, semi-sting), or having just the tips of the falls "pop" *or* sweep across the target area (primarily sting). You can also stand directly behind her and use a vertical stroke (either up or down or both), or a figure-eight stroke. One advantage to this position is the view it gives you.

Try the flogger on yourself (buttocks if you're flexible enough to do so; hands, forearms or thighs also work). That will give you a general idea of what she's going to feel. Then... get her to tell you what things feel like, or better yet, . While she's telling you what various strokes feel like, she can tell you whether or not she likes/dislikes them, and to what degree.

Pretty much what Sir_Winston54 said with this addition. Every flogger is different as is the woman who wants to experience the flogger. Some have a thuddy feel. Usually suede blades although with a little wrist action they can be made to sting. Some women Like the sting. Look for one with slender blades and polished leather blades. Some just plain hurt. My slaves favorite is one with thin 1/8 inch Russian Boar skin blades that frankly scares the hell out of me. I know I could get lost in the feeling and cut the hell out of her.

Good quality well made floggers are not cheap. I have over ten of them and I may have over $3000 invested yet I know they will last longer then me and will not fly apart in mid stroke.

Flogging a willing woman can be quite a rush. You need to make you don't get too caught up in the pleasure and fail to pay attention to your partner.

Always remember if you are flogging her even at her request her well being is your responsibility. Make sure BOTH of you enjoy.

Good advice from those 2 if you want soft with some sting I would recommend a rope flogged the soft nylon type with random single knots tied into it great for starters or warming a pet up for the heavy hitters. You can even make your own with simply stuff from your local dom-mart. I mean wal-mart. Best of luck if you want to know more just pm or message me.

If you really want to know what a flogger, or any other toy, feels like, you should use it on yourself. Or have someone else use it on you.

Every dom/me should have some understanding of how a sub feels when s/he is being played with.

Master has a custom-made double-long buffalo hide flogger. Most of the time it feels like a massage...sometimes there is a sting from the ends as they wrap around my body. It is a complete high to be flogged by Master.
