Coping with inconvenient fetishes or types

In this case I'm talking about the more heavy-duty definition of fetish which means one has difficulty being aroused if the fetishized thing isn't present. I'm not sure if it's considered this type of fetish when talking about someone's "type" though (e.g. tall, specific hair color, big boobs, big butt, etc.) In my case specifically I'm talking about long hair on men - there's less than a 10% chance that I'll consider a man with short hair attractive, while the chance that I'll consider him attractive is more like 50% if he happens to have long hair.

Why is this inconvenient? Well, there aren't a lot of long-haired men where I live. If I only meet one or two guys a year that I consider very attractive, and chances are fairly high they are taken or not interested in women of my type, this really stymies my attempts to find someone I can even take for a test drive as far as relationships go, much less someone who's a keeper.

So, do any of you have similar frustrations? What do you do about it?

Not sure if this applies, but I have a fetish for women farting, or at the very least a pretty strong desire to experiment with it. Bringing this up with a woman, at least from a prediction point of view, is almost certain to have negative consequences. I mean of course I might meet a very cool girl who would not only be okay with it, but possibly might even indulge me. That would be just freaking amazing. But it's just a really hard subject to bring up out of fear of rejection. A couple of my friends know I have it (and other fetishes) after talking about sex a few times, but to tell a girl I really like (during the topic of sex if we're dating, of course) just seems like an almost unattainable goal.

Ahaha. I would love it if someone told me they were okay with me farting like a man. I mean, I guess it would be a bit weird if someone had a fetish for it, but I fart like a man who's eaten two tins of beans...

I'm sure you'll find other gassy girls out there! I don't have a fart fetish per se, I just have a gas problem and think it's funnier to fart out loud. >_> I'm sure eventually you'll find a hick girl like me who enjoys farting and would just love it if someone said "no, really, you don't have to fart like a lady!"

Sunandshadow, I do share your long hair issue! Mostly I find women attractive but if a guy has really short hair or even bald... I dunno, I just can't find him all that attractive.

It's not inconvenient for me, though, because I find most women hot.

I think any fetish, if required for a good sexy time, or even just arousal alone, would be inconvenient.

Nothing gets my visual attention like a shirtless swimmers build. Inconvenience is they are younger and not chasing 52 year olds.
