"New" New Favorites

So I don't know if everyone does this but when I see someone put me on their favorites page I always click and check them out. First thing I look to see if they write as well because I find it more flattering to be on another authors list. The other thing I check is the other authors they have (I see a lot of the same names and mostly in my category) but my question is on the "join date"

I seem to get a lot of very new members putting me on. In fact this week alone I got 4 that marked me on their first day including one this morning that prompted me to ask the question: Where are they finding me?

I am certainly in not a top 250 author, not in the "incest hall of fame" and at one point I would post a story a week so I figured they were seeing me in the 30 day top lists but lately it has been on a month for me so just curious where they are finding me.

I thought perhaps they are getting me from other authors pages and figure they will check me out but with some of them I'm the first one or one of only a couple they have booked. Just curious I know there are some people on here who follow this type of thing religiously complete with graphs and charts so I figured I'd put it out there.

P.S. I'll put this out there before anyone else does; I have considered that they don;t know any better yet

Ummm think I missed that. Are you saying to create alts and favorite myself? Or are you saying that's what a lot of authors do? Whichever I'm not really the type to "vote" for myself. Also I am an only child I have no siblings to breed with

I think a lot of people (but I might be totally wrong) maybe see a story that interests them, then they favorite you so they can get back to your page easily. The reason I think that is because I get favorited...(is that a word? lol) and then get unfavorited later in some cases.
I just hate to see that little broken heart, lol.

We had in new poems, a so called newb show up 3 mysterious H's in a row, death of comments, one of the "poems" was voted Most Favoritest (sic) six times.
Wow, I wish I could vote like that.

Here is a novel suggestion, it's called weighing. Lit could very easily assign, say a 50% value to anonymous scores, or even less. I'd like to see a 10% value so the trolls and the cluster fuckers would have to work 10 times harder.

And seriously don't you think Lit. could purge the membership list from time to time of no posts, no comments, etc.

Damn I wish I had started sooner to see the older ones. You know I am such a man. I really fall under the double standard of thinking erotica is hotter when written by a woman especially an attractive one. That's why I have a female pen name on Smash words.

I also go by one on my website. I used a stock photo of just a woman' face behind a fan. True funny story;

A guy recently contacted me through the site saying what pretty green eyes and red hair I have and proceeded to flirt with me and ask if he could see what I really looked like (trust me he does not, I did people a favor only putting my back in my profile pic)

I told him go into smashwords and buy a couple of my e-books and I would send him a shot of my face. He did so I sent him a pic of my wife who has red hair and green eyes. he then graphically told me what he would like to do to my lips

I meant in the top 250 not I needed 250 to get there. Yeah I am sure there are a lot of "clones" and sometimes I don't even think it is the author himself. I know fans of one who have told him that they created alts to put him "up where he belongs" I would rather earn it. closest thing to an alt I have is my wife who put me on her fav's page.

I don;t think anon's can favorite only vote but yeah they should have less impact on scoring. Then agin certain categories like mine people are not anon because they are clones but because they don't want people to know they read my stuff.

When I first joined, back in the old days, lol, I got freaked out because one of the other managers at work said something about one of the managers writing dirty stories. They didn't know who though- and how they would know I couldn't guess... so I pulled my stories and disappeared.
It later occured to me that they must have been looking at the dirty stories to figure it out. Duh. So why did I freak?
I later decided I didn't care anymore, so back I came. Re-submitted my stories and here I am.
Because of all those shenannigans, I don't put my face here, but I am friends on facebook with several people from here. They know what my face looks like, lol.
