OK I have this series about two bisexual women having a lesbian love affair called Fiona and Ariel.

I put this story in the Lesbian Sex catagory because it has lesbian sex in it, but the two women are also married and have a lot of sex with their respective husbands.

Now it does occur to me that there could be a lot of lesbian women reading that would not have any interest in reading straight sex scenes.

It could be argued that an equally valid catagory to put this series in would have been loving wives, as both women are married, but again I think a lot of the people reading loving wives stories would not have any interest in reading a lesbian sex scene.

It seems like to me that there should be a Bisexual Women catagory and for that matter a Bisexual Men catagory.

I completely agree with you on the separate category idea for bisexuality.

I have been trying to find decent, well written and at least somewhat intelligent stories of happily married women being seduced by another woman. And to me, the word "seduced" implies a little reluctance, a fair amount of curiosity, and a lot of tension, with passion and lust finally winning out. But this takes some time to develop so if a story isn't at least 3 pages, I know right away it's not what I'm looking for.

I'd love to find some where the husband is somewhat involved (but still all about the wife's pleasure and desires) and some where it's just the wife and her new "friend".

Any suggestions?

I don't post many of my bisexual stories here. As noted, there is no category for them here. This isn't a balanced opportunity erotica Web site.

I agree there should be one but then another problem arises. Let's face it in bi sexual couplings the possibilities are endless! so there will be people who won't mind bi-male action but don't want bi-female etc.

What it comes down to is that the tag lines are very important as are the key words you pick to describe the action contained in the story. The better answer maybe for those things to be more visible to the reader.

Then again you will always have people that just click a sttory without looking at tags or key words. I still occasionally get nasty comments about my incest stories despite the fact they are properly categorized and tagged.

Weak excuse. What's so limiting with most of the current categories? Erotic Couplings. Erotic Horror. Fetish. Group Sex. BDSM. Fetish is a natural category that includes some categories that will turn the stomachs of some readers and delight others.

No, the Web site is just not equal opportunity.

I wasn't saying it was or wasn't equal opportunity simply saying that even if a Bi-sexual category was "granted" there would still be issues.

Honestly every category could use sub categories. The fetish is a good example as it covers everything from the very common foot fetish up to water sports and beyond so if your in that category you should be searching by key words. when I search that category I click on...:)

BDSM could be divided from Vanilla "velvet doms" up to hardcore pain slut stories

Non/consent reluctance are already two completely different things lumped under one category and most of those stories are rough consensual that don;t fit BDSM.

Even incest some like brother/sister or sister/sister others are big on parent child.

In the end to break it all down we would have so many "sub categories" it would be insane. At some point the reader has to assume responsibility for what he really wants to read.

My only point is a straight up bi sexual category might need some more tweaking than some of the others.

And I was saying that it wouldn't be any more broadbased than most of the existing categories. So, there's no problem, in my view--and no reason to make a problem up.

I agree with you about there needing to be a Bisexual category. But there does not need to be a seperate category for bisexual men and women. The titles of the story as well as the brief details should be enough for a reader to decide if they want to read it. This is actually not a new discussion. There have been two threads dedicated to this topic in the GBLT forum.

Wow you really do like to bicker don't you even when I'm agreeing that there should be a bi sexual category. Look at kitkat103's post here. Bi-men, bi-women that would not be outrageous to ask for.

Let's face it there is a big double standard with bi sexual sex. If it is two women lesbians love it, men love it and even women like my wife that are not bi sexual find it a turn on to various degrees.

For the most part bi-male has less of an audience if you are not a bi or gay male you want nothing to do with it. It is not a take it or leave it thing.

the other night I was looking at some amateur porn I clicked on a sample video simply labeled MMF threesome. Okay great. Starts off normally then as I'm watching the guy goes down on the other guy and I'm like "whoa!" had it been marked correctly I would not have clicked on it.

Not to much to ask for two bi sexual categories.

No you dont get it. I think that one bisexual category is fine. Lets not crawl before we can walk. Has anyone even contacted Laurel or Manu about a bisexual category? Besides MMF means guy fucks guy and girl. MFM Means girl is shish kebabbed between two guys.

My bad Kat,

I am a bit old school and to me anything with 2 m's and an f is a "conventional threesome".

On a different subject I absolutely love your picture threads! It's a sahame that after all this time they are starting to mod them and remove some of the images from all the threads. Some of the ones on the GB that "Big Meanie" contributes to a lot are being wiped out as well.

Too bad but in a way I find it funny like they want a "no porn" porn site.

Actually some pics get wiped out because they have been on the site too long. Like when I first started the Black images thread I used to upload them from my computer to lits server. So its no surprised you can't find them. Plus I deleted some. But if you use an image host, unless someone get pissed and report them to a moderator you have a better chance of them staying there longer.

Now this bi thread...instead of creating yet another thread, are we doing something to make this a reality?

Well I'm not really sure on the "politics" of the site and I know you said there are a couple of other threads devoted to this but has anyone set up an actual "petition thread?" Just start one and say "if you want the site to carry a bi sexual category sign up here?"

Not sure if that would work but it could be given a shot. From what I understand that is how fetish forum got started not to long ago by a lot of people pushing for one.

Well Kitkat, I still consider myself to be new here and would have no clue of how to ask for a new catagory to be created, I guess that is why I posted this thread. Can anybody tell me what is involved in trying to get a new catagory added?

I am happy to lend my weight for what it's worth.

@Justherhusband

This story may be just what you're looking for http://www.literotica.com/s/fiona-and-ariel-ch-01-03 is the first of a multiple series story, build up is slow. Lesbian sex does not start until second installment. The final chapters 10-11 have been submitted but are still pending, there is a threesome there.

Beats me how to make this happen. It's been suggested to the Web site owners over and over again--even when they've invited suggestions. When they've made changes it's always been something else--most often improvements no one asked for.

Our stories are always related to Bisexual Men catagory. However, we are not into MMF. Wife loves to watch her husband with another man without getting involved with two of them. We do enjoy stories with MMF.

I agree, and I just posted a male bi sexual story and taking some heat for it. most people do not have issues with a bi-female story. oh well, no matter what we will still have the "haters" and they will blast any story with a bi-male or a "loving wife"

LOL, I just replied to your post on story feedback and wanted to bump up this thread, but I have seen you have already done this. I knew you would be in favor of a bi catagory. The problem is I have no idea about how to get then to add a bi catagory.

So for anybody with any influence who might be reading this..........

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THERE IS NO BISEXUAL CATAGORY?

It is just such an obvious catagory LOL.

This is something I have been thinking about lately because this seems to be an issue on Literotica that is getting some discussion. At first my thought was there should at least be a bisexual category and I use bisexual as an example since it is the one that being debated. Nonetheless the same could be argued about group sex, first time, BDSM, and loving wives. The more I thought about it the more I realized the issues that it raises. For example, how to you define bisexuality in order to allow stories to be placed in the category? Each of us has our own definition of bisexuality and having a category means thee has to be some vague definition in order to guide placement of stories. Do you define bisexuality along Kinseyian lines, whereby the characters need to have a history of being bisexual and if this is the case, then a story of two heterosexual married men exploring their bi-sexual side together for the first time would not necessarily fit into the category. In contrast, even if bisexual category took a broader definition of bisexuality then the next issue faced would be sub-dividing the category into further categories, due to people wanting a more specific sub-categories in order to aid in placing their stories. As more categories are added it begins to creates frustration due to an author not knowing where to place it, adding more categories will not prevent someone from randomly clicking on the story who may not like it, and it will not prevent readers from acting maliciously (e.g. rating low, and rude comments) because they do not like the topic. Therefore, it is my feeling that a balance needs to be struck and for me that is using tags so that the story is properly identified instead of creating more categories.

I echo that thought. Why should some shades of sexuality sometimes be categories and sometimes not? Why should one category apply to a story more than another? One should be able to flag a story equally as lesbian, bisexual and bdsm, or whatever tags apply to its content, without having to bother about defining exactly one category as its main keyword.

Our categories are a relic of days past, where data was organised in a way that it had to belong into a certain folder and physical books where in a store and had to be assigned a certain shelf. It's the same with non-erotic stories in regular online shops. While I do understand that Superman, Alice in Wonderland and Lord of the Rings are all fantasy stories, I'm often missing the possibility to find books like the latter without reading over every book's synopsis.

I'd rather think of attributes of a story instead of categories. I'd love a (contrary to the current tag system, which I do find a brilliant thing for searching but which on its own would make navigating lit far too difficult) fixed list of attributes to pick from to describe a story. Like lesbian+exhibitionism+romance+reluctance+modern day, which all may be of equal importance to the prospective reader.
