Could Be You.

I've posted this before, but:

A local City Councillor was the well-hung male lead in a series of sex videos when he was a university student. Someone found a copy of one of the videos and recognised (his face!) the Councillor.

His (steamy) past was front page news, with stills from the video, in a local newspaper a month or so before the Councillor stood for re-election.

He was returned with an increased majority.

I wonder how they found out? As a teacher I don't see the issue, as long as it's kept completely separate from her teaching. It's not like shes writing it in her classroom, or asking her students to proofread it.

Teachers probably have sex on their off hours too. ZOMG scandal!

She only changed her last name + mentioned she was a teacher on her website + appeared in a video talking about her writing.

All of which were not the best choices.

Uh oh Hon. Better hope non of the parents of your little darlings recognize your cleavage from your Lit Avatar or you could be the next story.

My point is you cant have me no matter how much you beg.

I guess that's true since 'your type' is quite a bit beyond the norms of this forum....illegal, as a matter of fact, in most civilized societies. Or is that Amicus who's obsessed with underage children? I always get him confused with Roman Polanski....and now I'm getting you mixed in with those two guys...is there a theme here?

I saw this elsewhere. What a travesty. What the woman does off-duty is her business. I'm sure her students have seen a hell of a lot more 'porn' on the 'Net.

As far as those parents are concerned, they need to get some lives. Four of them look like first runners up in a speed milking contest. :D

Business 101. DONT DO ANYTHING THAT MAKES THE IDGITS COME TO THE OFFICE AND RAISE HELL.

Our Crime Watch Commandos stopped by yesterday to quiz me about my veggie garden. They suspected I was gardening without a license. More evidence that someone, somewhere, always has a problem with whatevers going on.

Oh, brother! Some folks aren't content with peeking through the window blinds and spreading gossip, they have to get out there in the mix and flaunt what little authority they've been given.

I feel horrible for this woman. This entire thing is a travesty, and no matter what her school administration says she's probably going to be harassed into quitting sooner or later. If nothing else, high school kids can be merciless and now they know her pseudonym they'll make her life at work unbearable.

Maybe the national attention will boost her sales enough she'll be able to support herself with writing now. I can't believe this sort of thing happens in this day and age.

They appointed and annointed themselves then got a booklet from the sheriff.

The peeping toms work for the water department; they sneak around at night looking to catch people watering their grass...in their bedrooms.

I think this is going a bit overboard. I haven't seen how "erotic" her erotica is, but do you think she would have been hired to teach in a school if she told them she wrote erotica? Don't you think she knew that writing erotica wouldn't be something not to put on her resume?

If a bank teller robs banks when not on duty is that OK because he's on his own time?

It's logic that a school system wouldn't want the aggravation and likely fallout of hiring a sex writer as a teacher. So, my first instinct isn't to say this is a travesty of all that is right in the world. My first instinct is to ask how erotic is the stuff she's writing?

Beyond that, she's not the sharpest knife in the drawer to let her photograph float around in connection with her pen name and to identify herself as a 10th-grade public school teacher in her book bio.

Firebrain and sr71plt in agreeing with eachother shocker :weep:

Have to say, if she was writing hardcore bondage/non-con/group sex etc, I imagine there would be less support. There's erotic romance (which is what she writes) and...well. Harder stuff.

I'm guessin' she writes 'bodice rippers' that are eagerly sought by lonely housewives and homely teenagers sporting sex scenes crammed with oblique references and euphemisms.

A little research has shown that the local 'moral arbiters' behind this magilla are a pack of bible-thumping screwballs who complain about everything and are considered nuisances by everyone else.

Local TV grabbed the story to fill in between the farm reports and the weather forecasts. :D

This. If I were a school teacher, you would never ever see my face, even behind a scribbled Van Dyke.
