I've read an extremely detailed book about the Goldwater campaign and I recall nothing about him pussing out and bailing before the election.

I do recall that the John Birchers from the start formed an important part of his nomination-base, but even Goldwater viewed the Birchers as crazy. Which they were -- they were convinced Eisenhower was a Communist.

And I'm not threaten by Ayn Rand at all. I'm just tired of hearing people talk about her like she's the patron saint of economics when her version of economics has the potential to destroy the country.

I'll add something valuable to the conversation once I see something that's a real discussion. I have yet to see anyone post anything in this thread that really supports the idea that liberals want to make this a socialist society.

Again, this is speaking volumes about your lack of understanding and failure to address the criticisms of capitalism.
