pls if someone decides to recommend, put the link in. The object being to lead people people to what is of value.
Seconding, please state so, that also has a tendency to let people know what is of value, AND, the next person to do NPR has a sort of idea that where to start.

New Writers take note, the first two lines often define as to whether the reader proceeds. I think I mentioned that once or twice.

You know twelvie I think some of the newer folk may not know how to post a link. So here's a few tips:

1. Copy the url from the page the poem is on.

2. In you post where you will provide the link, type an open bracket like this [, then the letters url, then an equal sign

3. Paste the url you copied right after the equal sign. No spaces

4. Put an end bracket like this ] right after the url you pasted. Again, no spaces

5. Right after the end bracket type the title of the poem you are linking

6. After the title of the poem type the following. [/url]

And that's it. When you put it all together only the title of the poem will appear but it'll be a clickable link. Want to thank me? Pick a day and do new poems reviews. ;)

Thank you.

another way to get a clickable link is to visit the page of the poem you are mentioning, c&p the url that appears at the very top of your screen...

type the name of the poem then highlight it by mouse

in the reply box you will be typing in, right along where it has B for bold etc, text alignment, bullet points, all that stuff, there's a globe. click on the globe and a box will appear

it already has http:// in, so delete that and then paste the copied url of the poem into it and hit OK. it will make the highlighted poem-name a clickable link to the right page.

that sounds a bit complicated written down, but is really as easy as a couple of mouse drags and clicks!

I'm an easy going soul lol well usually but this latest trend for cow dollops is doing my head in
Well that dollop wasn't aimed at you, as a matter of fact, I think it was aimed at prima donnas over at new poems. Here is my poem, I don't read much, nor do much, but dontcha just luv me. Or in some cases, a "writer" that brings a fan club that loves cliches. But every once and then there are surprises, like a good writer (paul_chowder) or a new writer that shows remarkable improvement like MikeIvey. I guess that is why we do what we do.

seconded :)

I politely suggested that one writer should use a spellchecker before submitting and the author had a hissy fit!

the one that accused you of making HER poem shitty, or something like that, she inspired me...
FWIW, I almost made the top list, and got blasted down because of spelling. Now who am I going to blame?
looks around:cool:
I blamed my spellchecker.

that didn't go over either.

I went back and told her I was being polite and offered her more constructive advice but I don't think she liked that either because she's deleted them ..... sigh. I should have pointed out that if she didn't want that she shouldn't have left her comments open. Aha silly me of course I should have realised some people only want praise, praise and more praise and none of this silly advice business

Thus the trolls like me :) .. if I see nothing but praise on a fair poem without any constructive comment, I will vote as I see fit... without comment. That being said, I don't think I've read a new poem in ages. That being said, I know I haven't posted any of the newer stuff I have written so, (HEHE) that being said, I'll just "fuck off" now.

I've been commenting but nobody takes the blindest bit of notice so might join you lol

we should take a walk sometimes, some perps, solid H's, one two comments, etc.
I just do what I can. I think I got an anon comment to that effect, and the expected score.

Sorry I'm in the wrong place. Now how did that happen

Thanks so much for the advice on posting links for recommends. Perhaps down the road I'll get to that point. For now, I am still very much a newbie and I believe it should take some time to earn credibility. (I've only posted one poem myself so far. *smiles*) I will always welcome and appreciate feedback, constructive criticism included. That said, I love reading and commenting as well. I don't really understand how the voting thing works, so I hope I haven't offended anyone if I ever left a comment, but "failed" to vote. I just honestly haven't figured everything out here yet. *blush*

It's my desire to be respectful of all the poets here, especially the ones who are established. I'm sure I'll stumble some as I make my way around. Thank you in advance for your patience! Wishing you all a fine day, filled with many good words. <3
