I love the ladies, I really do, as many as I can grope, and I do...

But when they get before the cameras and pretend to do the NEWS, dressed, coifed and made up to kill, I am looking at the short skirted thighs, the cleavage and the tits and their emotive presentation, puppy dog style, and I wonder what the hell ever happened to the real world?

I know that 52% of our population is female, God help us, and that there are more females in colleges than males, and that they own most of the tangible assets of value in our society and that it is truly is becoming a 'woman's world' (old song), but that doesn't mean I have to like it or that it is a good thing for the future of mankind.

If you pay heed to the commercials on television, they are almost exclusively female oriented, even the ED commercials, (viagra), women want stiff dicks and will even advertise.

I watch Andrea Mitchell(?) and Ann Coulter and Dana Perino, just to name a few, Candy someone gags me, as does the Lesbian, Rachel Maddow, but what the hell, but still, what is the world coming to?

Are we really and truly becoming a Feminist society, where women dictate everything? If so...izzat a good thing or not?

I go into the hospital in less than six hours...I may come out...I may not...if so...my fond regards to all...

I hope your visit to the hospital isn't too serious.

And women can do the news. Just like men do.

If I was you I'd take control of your life and use the remote to change the channel when you see women news readers on.

who determines how the women newsreaders appear onscreen? who decides what they wear, their hairstyles, their makeup? who runs the newschannels? could it be men, making it large by dragging in both women, who think women delivering 'the news' will be more honest and sympathetic, and men who don't give a shit so long as they get to look at a pretty face, plump cleavage and plastic face as they eat their sofa meals? seems whoever runs the channel calls the shots and makes the bucks.

give me a channel that offers news straight (is there one?), delivered by either a man or a woman not out to make a name for themselves due to their looks/aggressive/faux-sincere-sexy-simpering styles instead of what seems to be the run of the mill in america. britain's hot on its trail.

bring back Angela Rippon!

men control it....and we like it that way:D....happy international womens day

indeed.

it's interesting seeing the different approaches adopted by various nations with their news coverage. it gives me a broader sense of what's happening but flicking about the channels out there.

i also think it's a shame that some of the newspeople might be damned fine reporters if left to their natural instincts and developed talents instead of being forced to conform to an image the corporations demand if they are to be employed at all onscreen.

I dont concern myself with the girls or blax or fagz. Toss Crusader Rabbit into a pit of crocodiles and the outcome is always the same.

Yep...a damned shame that you gotta do what the guy paying you wants you to do

This is your fourth thread about this

You can stop beating the dead whores anytime.

Also an odd thread choice to be a farewell thread. Say hi to St. Peter for me.

It's not the women...it's the industry. Ok sometimes it's the women and the men, they are more like bobble head dolls. And some of the guys wear more makeup than a clown.

I agree. I have little respect for the broadcaster images projected for the news. The over emotional approach...the biased approached...I don't need their opinion...I have my own. It's like a circus. I guess that's why they wear all the makeup.

I'm not saying a reporter can't have a little emotion on occasion but it should be reeled in and not like what has become common place.

They just need to do the news.

But you know it's been heading that way since the 80's and the train wreck that was coming was clear even then.

Good wishes and prayers for your hospital stay. Be well!:rose:

Thank you for revitalizing two of my many Threads, much appreciated...

Times change, I know that, and as one lives longer, that which was in one's youth sometimes changes so much as to be unrecognizable and perhaps some of my observations are just that, the aging process...but hang in there tootsie, it could happen to you.

My surgery went well, one small fingertip sized tumor that was cauterized without invasive surgery...I have been fighting this for almost five years now and thought I had it whipped with a clean report last October...but...sighs...it is back and it is not a lot of fun, Gentlemen and ladies, have a cystoscopy performed to get an early warning of bladder cancer, it seems to appear when you reach your 60's, but can be controlled.

I have a personal interest in the presentation of information to the general public as I was a radio announcer and newscaster for almost 50 years and the changes are startling.

I can understand women and soap operas during daytime television, but to see that style take over the news is disturbing to me. I was so happy to watch CNN turn the Newsworld on its' ear with 24/7 News, and loved it until CNN developed an agenda favoring the Left. FOX found an opposite niche, and for a while, was a viable alternative to CNN...no longer so.

There is such a vast amount of real news, real discoveries, magnificent people who deserve national and international attention and what passes for News nowadays, completely ignores them.

On a related note; during the current Japanese disaster, the Network News stations, ABC, CBS, and NBC, offered no extended coverage at all. The three cable/satellite channels, FOX, CNN and MSNBC, all dropped live coverage after prime time, all night and all weekend, with just occasional headline blurbs. It is truly sad in my eyes.

It didn't metastasize? Ah well, better luck next time.

So you got canned and got replaced by a woman. Get over it.

Christiane Amanpour rocks. Not that you'd notice--not much makeup, no cleavage....

And here I thought all dinosaurs were extinct.

Ladies and gentlemen, as a public service announcement and in the interests of preventing untold surgical carnage, you're far better off if your urologist does a
cystoscopy.

You obviously aren't watching the BBC.

Check out Orla Guerin or Kate Adie, tough old battle axes who've been hacking through the third world for decades.
