I'm not really in with podcasting yet.

Oh, I'm also curious how people subscribe to podcasts. Feeds? Zune? iTunes? How?

Most of the podcasts I download are straight-up exclusive mixtapes, very little interviews or whatever. Straight zips onto my desktop and then to my iPod, never thru iTunes directly

Except for this one podcast blog by a porn actress I infrequently visit. It's fairly amusing.:eek::eek:

The Nerdist
You Look Nice Today (although they don't really update it anymore, the old ones are great)
WTF w. marc maron
The Moth
G.I.O. (get it on)
Doug Loves Movies
Comedy Death Ray Radio
Wait Wait Don't Tell Me
TAL
Stuff You Mised in History Class
PRI Sounds of Young America
Fitzdog Radio
Adam Carolla Podcast
A Prarie Home Companion

I've added some of yours to my list after our convo yesterday.

I love podcasts. Since I stopped watching television last year (cuz the Ex took our HD LCDTV and the only other set in the house is the child's), I have really started to appreciate radio programs. Podcasts have opened the distribution to the point that you can find a podcast for any idea, genre or discussion.

I sibscribed to gastro lab and sporkful. That reminds me, I need to subscribe to the onion radio!

I also just subscribed to Paul F Tompkin's podcast and A Special Thing radio. Dunno how they are yet but I am willing to bet both good!!

I can't find Special Thing, link?

Oh and as to WHY I like the podcasts I do...I am a total comedy nerd. If I were a groupie I would follow comedians around and try to fuck them instead of bands. :D

I am a little worried that I have warped my 9 year old's sense of humor beyond repair and he is going to grow up just like me. With a sense of humor that most people don't seem to get. It can be awkward.

I love how all my favorite comedians from way back that were struggling are now dominating all over the place and I can listen to them on a dozen different podcasts every day. It used to be that you just bought their comedy album and that was about all you got until the next album came out unless you lived in LA or NYC and could go see them perform. I am really fucking LOVING the podcast movement for this reason alone.

The Mark Levin Show

I love how podcasts have given so many people a forum. Some really fascinating stuff around.
