Gotta disagree with you here. Study after study has shown that only around 10% of the Teahadists are what you'd consider to be hardcore racists, i.e. Ishmael/Karen Kraft types who believe in their shriveled hearts and souls that white folks are inherently superior to all other races.

Having said that, though, the vast majority of the jackbooted Tea party thugs willingly and gleefully indulge in race-baiting, because the negative attention it generates allows them to play the victim card (see also: AJ, Vetteman, Semen4dogs, Miles, et al). You know, I do have to ask why it is that when you take the white vote out of the 2010 election results, the Tea Party got utterly massacred.

It's hard to interpret the nationwide numbers as NOT being a strong difference of values along racial lines.

This is important because as this racial divide becomes hard to ignore, and the racial demographics in America continue to shift towards what I call a racially multi-lateral society, this could make the Tea Partiers even more given toward race-baiting... or worse behavior.
