Post each chapter in the approriate catagory, but add tags when you submit each installment.

You are right about the genre nazis, but as long as you arn'r misleading them, by placing each part of your story in the proper catagory, you shouldn't get dinged to badly. Just go with what the overall theme of each of your chapters are.

I have a new series that I'd like to start posting. Trouble is, I don't know where to post. It is a series, so I could post it there, but I think it would get lost in the shuffle. Chalk it up to too much network television, but the story starts as a home invasion and a plot for revenge. So the beginning chapters would be fine for the non-consent category. Then it moves to various sexual entanglements until chapter five when the theme moves to incest. I could post each chapter into it's respective category, but then I run the risk of the genre nazis going nuts and running the scores down. I've heard in the past that incest trumps all, but neither chapter one or two really hit the vein except for savy readers who will get the foreshadowing and realize that is where the story is going. There are several clues in those chapters, though. So, any advice would be welcome.

Also, the tentative title is A Dish Best Served Cold; I admit, it's a bit cliche, but it does illustrate the attitude of the protagonist quite well.

To start "series" is not a category. Anything that has more than one chapter lit will automatically put there. It will show in series then whatever category you post so it is seen twice. Non consent and incest are the two categories people do not want to stumble into so seeing your saying home invasion I am assuming there is rape so do start it there. When you get to incest keep it there as long as there is incest in anyway shape or form. People will look for the name of the series after the first couple of chapters and probably not even notice that it is category jumping.
A dish best serves cold is a little cliched but will let people know what they are heading for and during the non consent part give them a reason to want to continue as in "Can't wait for that prick to get his" aside from that title there aren't a lot of direct options I could think of short of a "last laugh" type of comment. As a reference tool go to one of those free quote sites and type in "revenge quotes" see what comes up maybe you will find something better. I did a five chapter revenge story. Mine was called "Lex Talionis" Latin for law of retaliation and further defined by "punishment in kind" or the biblical an eye for an eye.

Haha...once upon a time we had a Dish Served Cold contest. My White Trash Ch. 04 was an entry (I'd written 1 and 2 a year before, then 3 was the bridge to the wrap-up..****!

Anyway, I say chapter it and put them in their appropriate categories. You might lose some readers along the way due to some not liking this or that, but at least they know...and some will punish you if they don't know and others no matter what.
