Pick the Story I Write Next

So I have three ideas for stories I want to write. They could end up spanning several chapters or only be a on-shot deal (the case of course varying per story). The first two to be described would be fanfics, as is my M.O., while the third will be an original work (something I haven't done for this, or any other, site before).

To ensure I don't overwhelm myself with writing multiple stories and sacrificing quality throughout, I want you all to decide which story I should write first, and whether or not the idea works best for a one-shot or series. And if you want to give your opinions/advice on all the ideas, please do.

1) Roxy Rocket Does Gotham - This would be based off the often overlooked character of Roxy Rocket of DC comics, based in the Batman mythos. Originally I had planned to do this one long ago but due to various reasons (my own attention span being public enemy number one) I never got around to it. Back then I had planned to have Roxy turn to a life of heroism and move to a Vegas inspired city to fight (and fuck) crime. It would include new characters and ones established by DC. However, I could just as easily set her in Gotham, resulting in Batman's ire at having another hero step in his territory (or perhaps take her on as one of his partners in crime-fighting - it's all up to you fine folks!)

2) Rogue the Porn Star - I have written about the character Rogue, of Marvel comics, before in another series (A Spider's Web) and really enjoyed it. However, I didn't really get to explore the dilemma of her powers preventing physical contact. I did this so she could get sexually involved with other characters, but now I'd like to force her to keep her powers and find ways around it. Namely, becoming an internet amateur porn sensation.

3) Witches of English 101 - It's no secret to those who know me that I have a huge thing for Goth girls. I put punk, emo, and alternative girls into this category because they all have the attributes I find attractive. The story revolves around an English high school teacher who, through one way or another, catches the attention of three Gothic vixens in his class who decide to take up the hobby of teasing and seducing their teacher to bring him as far off his moral high ground as possible.

So, please, tell me what you think of the ideas and vote on which one you'd like to see most.

Hi I will give you an opinion and my reason for it. Go with option three witches when done right can be very sexy, reason to not do the other two is that I used to own a comic book store, key word used to. once you see Marvel and DC comics from the business end and realize that total disregard for their fans and that the comics are only used as marketing ploys to launch theor movies you would be as sick to death of them as I am and I wouldn't want to see them get any publicity even in a porn story. if you do have to go with a comic one go with DC. Joe Quesada from Marvel might want to sue you for the rogue story.

I'll give you a couple of opinions too. First opinion. If they all attract you, write them all. Second opinion. If you're any sort of writer, you won't ask questions like this. You'll take on these decisions for yourself. Just my opinions.

No you came to the right place. Never ever ever never go to the general bored. Not unless you want to talk politics or be called a homo, a racist or anything else derogatory. Everyone here is pretty cool and you will always get an answer.

I wasn't expecting a fan club, no, but perhaps some writers/readers who were willing to share their opinion on the matter (which I got a bit of). And no, I don't think I could have "banged out" all three stories. If I was any kind of writer, as you put, I think it would take me longer than 10 days to write three stories - at least of the quality I expect from myself.

And no, I wasn't trying to drum up readers (though it's always nice to get more). I'm not sure what made you think I have ulterior motives, but my intentions are pretty clear, I would assume.

And that's bully for you, but personally it takes me longer to A) get the motivation to write, B) summon up the attention span to keep writing, and C) bring myself to submit what I made (I'm my own worst critic).

I don't really expect other writers to do the work for me, if that's what you're implying, I just wanted some seasoned advice on how I should proceed. I didn't know I needed a "fan club" before asking for advice from other writers. And if I do have a fan club, I don't know how to reach them other than through these forums. I don't have my own website for this sort of thing.

Well, yes, I did see it as a "Hey other writers, stop what you're doing for yourself, pay attention to me, and make my writer's decisions for me" sort of comment. Might have gone over better in the Feedback forum.

You got one response--which was one more than I figured, so all good for you. I still think that deciding what to write next yourself and then doing it is your best option. Write all three and then ask readers--in the Feedback forum--what they liked the best.

First off just curious if you have a little history going with "lithium"? you seem to be coming across kinda belligerent here which you don't normally. AS far as three stories in three days. I don't think that's the norm that's pretty prolific. I did 35 from my debut in May 2010 to the end of the year and had people tell me that was pretty good considering the average length is around four lit pages and my 5 part Lex talionis series were all 6 pages and my Halloween one shot 9 pages. Many authors I follow don't top more than one every couple of weeks. Of course most other authors that I follow and are "friendly" with, like me, also have full time jobs spouses kids etc... now forgive me if I am wrong are you not a professional writer? as in fulltime job? because that makes a big difference in what you can produce and how quickly. There are days I get home from work that I am so pissed off or I come home fine and daughter a or daughter b or wifey has something going on, that I can't write a sentence. I'm sure given a sabbatical I could get close to a story a day but most people don't have the luxury of that. most of us our amateurs. And as far as how much time he spent on this post? there's like 9 replies on the whole thing at a few sentences a whack don't think that cost them writing time. Just wondering why your kind of up this guys ass
