Okay.....so I have a serious question. This really is for the men but I want to hear from you ladies too.

Today I was at my boys Futsol game. There was a Dad who's daughter was playing keeper for the other team. (In indoor soccer they mix the sexes of the kids if there aren't enough teams)

Anyways, he was a Douche. Yelling and screaming, jumping her ass if she made a mistake, so on and so forth. Well, my old man started getting really pissy about the situation because he was the lucky fucker sitting next to the douchebag dad.

I told the old man to move but he put on his pig head and was like 'no, fuck that and fuck him.' sigh* Tis the reason we get along so well. I left it alone and just waited for the inevitable.

Sure enough moments later they are in a fuck you match. In eachothers face, the whole 9. Me, being me......and standing toe to toe with both of them got in between them and managed to get nailed. And when I say nailed.......nods* I got jawed.

Now, I know when you stand between two grown men you're asking for it. I was trying to calm the fuckers down and was the product of bad aim. I almost got them chilled but then it got flamed when he called me a cunt. Sigh* the white knight...... It ended there. But seriously, WTF?!?

Now, what I want to know is when you see these parents acting this way what do you do? Sit and be quiet? Speak up? How do you handle these situations? I noticed everyone rolling their eyes at him but no one said a word. People moved away....the guy was an asshat. But, you know how it ends with guys like that. There's only one way to shut them up......a foot in the mouth, right?

I don't think you can do anything to stop them. If you do and a situation occurs then somehow it makes you look like them. ....screw that. Someone should have decked him. I am just saying.

There's nothing you can do. When you argue with an idiot, no one can tell the difference, which is why most people move away from the situation. I had a similar situation just this past summer. I was coaching 1st base when the game ended with the head coaches of both teams standing on the pitcher's mound jawing each other. On the way by, I mentioned what a damn fine example they were setting for our boys. Luckily, they saw the light and had at least enough class to knock that stupid shit off. That's when you focus on the kids. Telling the little girl how well she played (even if it's a lie) can be a big help.

Having said all that, if my wife or (God help the poor bastard) my daughter was hit and called a cunt during a melee like this, I'd rip him the fuck apart. This isn't macho bullshit talking, I could go to town right now and get my ass whupped just as quickly as anyone else... unless you fuck with one of mine.

Well.....it ended quickly. ;) Very quickly. And I can hold my own.....but your description was just about dead on. I quietly reminded asshat that we were here for our kids and he needed to chill. He goated me and I shut up and turned to walk away with the old man by the neck. It really wasn't his fault either. That's when the c-bomb got dropped. He knew it was the only way to get mg old man to commit.

Coulda just sicked Sluggo on his ass.....

We laughed afterwards. 7 years ago.....I would have jawed him without saying a word. Kids change your perspective. There's a time and place for everything. It wasn't the time or the place.

Sigh

I guess we really cant choose our family

Glad to know you are fine and I hope those kids learnt a lesson ie not to be an ass

Damn right they do! Kids change your perspective on a lot of things......I don't even drive like I used to. That was definitely the situation with that Monster Jam asshat.....every dad within 20 feet wanted to stomp a mudhole in his ass and walk it dry; but we're all there with our kids! ( let alone; I'm carrying in a stadium.....don't need to risk jail for a litle pride)

Nope.....but if/when that comes possible I'm switching a lot of people out.... :(
