I THINK.......I've made it through this.....Let's see.

I intended to play and sing Lonesome, Onry and Mean; got into it and realized I had not drop D tuned my guitar for it.... ( I was only messing with this stuff for an hour) ......so I played y'all a bit of Hotel Cali instead. I did a couple more, but the poor little mic doesn't like my guitar & amp very well....Will do more some other time ( I need an adapter to plug a REAL mic into the 'puter)

Check under the settings in iTunes. Is it set to open .wavs?

LAME encoder? That's what I used to convert my Audacity files to mp3's...
