Life is still hectic and dramatic and crazy.

How have you guys been holding up?
 
Very happy to hear that you're still alive and kickin', and I hope the coming new year brings you vastly improved circumstances, as well as both physical and emotional well-being.
 
Yeah... unfortunately my brand new submissive had a house fire in the wee hours of new years day and her home is in an unlivable condition. :(

Its a very complex and tricky thing to go from pretty much best friends to a D/s relationship but so far its been good.

Given that her house burned and she used to be a roomie here several years ago.. she's moving in and now I have a dilemma.

I was pacing the progress of this in order to build trust, etc.. so we haven't even held hands. I owe her one spanking so far for missing a meeting with me even though it wasn't her fault... still gonna happen..

I know that if I fail to set the tone of how things are going to be living here as my sub it would be counterproductive... in theory she's submitted but I was holding off in order to work on some trust and behavioral issues, given past events in her life.

I think that before I let her sleep here I need to reinforce the reality of this situation even though I felt it was at least three months before she would be ready for this.

The house fire has blown out my whole timeline. I'm open for suggestions.. I was thinking that it may be time for a formal contract or to introduce the contract concept and to make good on that spanking and to at least kiss the girl.
 
Great to see you posting....not sure I have any advice but it sounds like you've already decided what to do about the altered time line and it appears to be a good plan. I do think the spanking would come before the kiss though...;)

Yeah, it would be hard to spank someone while you are kissing them and if before might make me too cuddly.

It will happen, just needs to happen when the time is right. I don't want to come across like most of her guy friends who eventually try to just get her into bed.

All in all, evidence that you are physically able to post and mentally present here, puts a smile on my face.

I always believe there is a reason for everything and there is a reason why she is in your life now. Those reasons may come to you both, just you, or her... in time. Regardless, you go with your gut, as I am sure you are well aware.

I always gathered your heart and mind was in the right place, and your thoughts about how to approach your current situation proves that once again to me. And with that, you will both be alright, regardless of the outcome, because you are always where you need to be... at that time... at that moment.

Not to mention a swift spank with a lovely glint in your eye, followed by a swift embrace and deep passionate kiss... *sigh*

She is also going to be helping me keep with my diet and exercise. And slave, what you said was lovely and I'm hoping that doing things this way will let she and I be very open and honest with each other. I'm sure I'll make mistakes along the way but as long as we can stop and talk things out life should get a lot happier and fulfilling for us both.

First let me mention... MAN O MAN you are looking very good!!! I am glad you have support and with that, your body will maintain balance and your energy level will pick up. That will help with any discomfort, which I hope has subsided, hopefully even a little bit...

As you know, in life we do what we feel is best, for ourselves and those we care for. You are true to yourself and her and the journey is set on a good path right there! That is all she, you, or anyone can ask for or do.

It is for her to recognize and acknowledge who you are in all your wonderful, caring , sensitive self... growing from friends to a one on one relationship... What she does with that, time will tell. But at least you and your heart are true.
