Somebody find that damned little green snake! He's brewed up another one that will hit early tomorrow. 3, start handing out the lifejackets . . .

I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but...here on the West Coast, we have had a week of heavy rain and gusty winds and an arctic low is due on Thursday, all of which is going to send nasty weather across the country.

Hunker down and hope for an early Spring!

It's Global Cooling, or Warming or Flushing the crazies? :D

The Arctic Archipelago and Hudson Bay is exceptionally warm with having such northerly cities as Iqaluit and Rankin Inlet seeing temperatures above freezing in December. This is causing Lake Huron to freeze late (Sarnia's lake effect is bad this year) along with snowstorms and cold weather systems to clash with wet systems from the south.

And I'm thinking of buying this from HP. He swears it's "unsinkable."

Ain't she just.
Stella, your little row-boat could either be taken in part-exchange or fitted with a roof.
Fear Not, the HP agency is here to help (and at very reasonable rates, too).

Quite right.
The Mk 2 IS unsinkable by normal means.
Just keep the doors shut.
The Mk 3 would require an atom bomb.

Bear, is this snake a sort-of dark green with light-green bands ?.
About a foot long ?

Could be. Look carefully for a label on the back "To be used by Experts only". If that's what you've got, put it in a box, seal that puppy up good and mail it back to me. I'll put it back in the dark in the cave and hope the effects wear off in a month or so. Jeez, if I'd known how strong the little wretch was I'd have never gotten it in the first place. I'll bet Cloudy and TexRad are laughing themselves sick over this. Indian humor, sheesh!

Yeah, I really don't have any hankering for a giant fortune but if I ever did win a mega-lottery a dark blue PBY would be the first thing I'd buy.

A good friend of mine had one a number of years ago. It was painted black with silver trim. What a dream to fly. It even behaves well on the water. The only thing is starting one. If ya don't like loud noises, it ain't for you. A 40 mm shell with a lanyard is the way the original ones started. My buddy converted his to hydraulic start.
