I saw it and all I saw was attack. I can't speak for him but yes I was offended when Obama spoke about the Special Olympics. I have 3 people in my family who are Autistic and I can tell you it's no fricking joke. I have heard all the jokes and I'm tired of it. I think it was his point that it's okay to laugh at some but not others. What does it matter anyway? You all twisted it to make him look bad.

Years ago when I was a teenager we were all hanging out when a person walked by with a Down's from a group home. A few were laughing, acting dopey and saying retard. And I see someone saying how it is and that trying to enforce from the top just makes things worse. when I worked in the primary school one kid called another a 'gaylord'. As a result of parental and teacher interference, the term became endemic AND because of that kids then were actually bullied in a homophobic way.
