You know how it goes: pick celebs / well-known personalities you think are going to pass away in 2011 in this morbid contest. Pick 10 (ten) and 1 (one) "wild card" pick; whoever gets the most, wins. No editing after the fact, of course.

RobDownSouth is your 2010 winner with 4 picks on his list last year.

(Mike_Yates is not allowed to participate this year because he sucks so badly at it. All he does is pick Spears and Lohan over and over...)

My picks for 2011:

Zsa Zsa Gabor
Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi
Richard Attenborough
Ray Bradbury
Olivia de Havilland
Betty Ford
Jerry Lewis
Patty Andrews
Harry Dean Stanton
Billy Graham

Wild card pick: Christina Amphlett

Margaret Thatcher (I'd pick her ten times if I could)
Ishmael
George H W Bush
Henry Kissinger
Stan Lee
Anthony Hopkins
HRH Prince Phillip
Noam Chomsky
Gore Vidal
Tam Dalyell

Wild Card: Adam Sandler

Rob's 2011 picks: Hooray for Hollywood!

  1. Jerry Lewis
  2. Liz Taylor
  3. Zsa Zsa Gabor
  4. Kirk Douglas
  5. Harry Morgan
  6. Abe Vigoda
  7. Ernest Borgnine
  8. Mickey Rooney
  9. Jack Klugman
  10. Sid Caesar

Lit pick: Ishmael

I'm going all-Hollywood for 2011 because Nancy Reagan simply refuses to die (I'm convinced she stays alive just to spite me) and I've had Castro and Billy Graham on my list for 3 years now with nary a peep about health issues.

I had Seve Ballesteros on my list last year....what are the odds of making a complete recovery from malignant brain cancer???

Fidel Castro
Jimmy Carter
Andy Rooney
Jack Nicholson
Dick Clark
Betty White
Muhammad Ali
Larry King
Andy Griffith
Dick Van Dyke

wild card: Rush Limbaugh

Margaret Thatcher (I'd pick her ten times if I could)
Ishmael
George H W Bush
Henry Kissinger
Stan Lee
Anthony Hopkins
HRH Prince Phillip
Noam Chomsky
Gore Vidal
Tam Dalyell

Wild Card: Adam Sandler

Good list there, particularly Stan Lee and Prince Phillip.

lol, I thought Stan Lee has been dead for years, and nope, still kicking. I was surprised.

And Andy Rooney, wtf?

He pops up as a cameo in just about every film adaptation of his comics. And he was in the last series of TBBT.

Stan will never be replaced either. A god in his own right.

Just like the Lockerbie Bomber, which, they said, his death was just around the corner. Or is he dead yet?

what's it pay?

That is a good question. Is Hef going to work all those years and then just hand it to a good fuck, or has he stashed it in trusts and whatnots for friends and family?

Something tells me she will come out of all of this smelling like a rose.

Hell after I posted my list, I had a momentary brain fart (I call that "having a vetteman") and thought...uh oh, Kirk Douglas is already dead. But I had him confused with Charleton Heston.

Kirk's not looking too healthy of late..

What's the cut-off for getting our picks in? I need some time to google some fuckers...

Nancy Reagen
Bob Barker
Nelson Mandela
Don Rickles
Barbara Walters
Courtney Love (I pick her every year)
Elizabeth Taylor
Amy Winehouse
Andy Griffith

Wild card: Christian Slater
