Civility and maturity seem to have just made a quick exit...
I realize that your first question was rhetorical (and the second was immature) but in an attempt to smooth this out I shall explain. In my academic work I have studied the use of rape and torture as tactics of war (obviously not an uncommon practice) and have also met with various men and women who have been victims of these crimes. As such, I have a hypersensitivity to the flippant use of the word. I am aware that not everyone shares this sensitivity, as evidenced in our previous posts to each other. While I don't expect to convert your thinking to mine, or for you to even entertain the idea of agreeing with me, I do expect you to maintain a civil discourse (this is mostly due to the fact that you are an adult, not a child) because while we have our differences in opinion and humor we can still maintain a degree of respect for each other.
The problem is that your condescending and 'I-think-I'm-better-than-you-simply-because-I-seem-to-believe-I'm-so-mature-and-intelligent' attitude makes it difficult to stay civilized at times.
I understand that you think very highly of yourself, but you have to keep in mind that first, I'm older than you and secondly, I'm likely more educated. So, just because you don't approve of a word that I used does not give you any right to put me down and choose that tone
