I realize that your first question was rhetorical (and the second was immature) but in an attempt to smooth this out I shall explain. In my academic work I have studied the use of rape and torture as tactics of war (obviously not an uncommon practice) and have also met with various men and women who have been victims of these crimes. As such, I have a hypersensitivity to the flippant use of the word. I am aware that not everyone shares this sensitivity, as evidenced in our previous posts to each other. While I don't expect to convert your thinking to mine, or for you to even entertain the idea of agreeing with me, I do expect you to maintain a civil discourse (this is mostly due to the fact that you are an adult, not a child) because while we have our differences in opinion and humor we can still maintain a degree of respect for each other.

The problem is that your condescending and 'I-think-I'm-better-than-you-simply-because-I-seem-to-believe-I'm-so-mature-and-intelligent' attitude makes it difficult to stay civilized at times.

I understand that you think very highly of yourself, but you have to keep in mind that first, I'm older than you and secondly, I'm likely more educated. So, just because you don't approve of a word that I used does not give you any right to put me down and choose that tone :)

I hesitate to comment right now, because of the risk the risk of derailing what's obviously becoming an intelligent and meaningful debate, full of good will towards each other. :rolleyes: You know what though? I think I'll risk it.

How's it been going darlin'? I mean, other than the approximately 74 feet of snow that's been dumped on you. :D Hope things are going well. As for trying harder...... Hmmmm. I just might do that..... ;)
 
Nope, nothing today. Little snow shovelling, a little heavy lifting but mostly relaxing on the couch watching basketball:)

I'm not sure whether to be pleased or insulted by the amount of importance you seem to think I bestow upon myself. Either way, this venue for conversation has never excelled at conveying tone properly and you and I have had this issue before.

The remainder of my young and likely less educated thoughts I shall keep to myself, for fear of upsetting the old and likely more educated Canadian.. ;)

it'll take some tweaking, but they should be very similar by the end. Oh...I love Latin btw.

I think I would like the Latin more if I could study that without also tossing in the various chemical compositions and properties of the oils. Oh well...I'm on my way to becoming an aroma ninja.. :cool: :rolleyes:
