I'm not saying you're wrong in that assessment, but I meant it more as a condemnation of what I have failed to do up to this point, rather than as a premonition of what won't be done in the future.

You should paint it green, because it's so damn energy efficient. I like how instead of using a thin sheet of styrofoam to encase the printer for protection, they put it inside a reusable grocery bag.

As for that last bit... Due to our communication style words hold extraordinary power and using a word like "rape", especially when used out of context but meant to convey the same degree of wretchedness, is unwise and insensitive (in my opinion).

No, in my opinion, words hold and carry as much power as you want them to do. Assuming everyone should hold the same measures for determining what is insensitive and what is not is unwise. So is showing the holier-than-thou attitude towards those who don't necessarily share the same idea.

I realize that your first question was rhetorical (and the second was immature) but in an attempt to smooth this out I shall explain. In my academic work I have studied the use of rape and torture as tactics of war (obviously not an uncommon practice) and have also met with various men and women who have been victims of these crimes. As such, I have a hypersensitivity to the flippant use of the word. I am aware that not everyone shares this sensitivity, as evidenced in our previous posts to each other. While I don't expect to convert your thinking to mine, or for you to even entertain the idea of agreeing with me, I do expect you to maintain a civil discourse (this is mostly due to the fact that you are an adult, not a child) because while we have our differences in opinion and humor we can still maintain a degree of respect for each other.
