Bloke's Rules - Aussie Style


Rule 1: Any man who brings a camera to a stag night party may be legally killed and eaten by his fellow party goers.

Rule 2: Under no circumstances may two men share an umbrella.

Rule 3: It is okay for a man to cry under the following circumstances:
A. When a heroic dog dies to save its master.
B. The moment Angelina Jolie starts unbuttoning her blouse.
C. After wrecking your boss' car.
D. One hour, 12 minutes, 37 seconds into "The Crying Game" movie.
E. When she is using her teeth.

Rule 4: Unless he murdered someone in your family, you must bale a friend out of jail within 12 hours.

Rule 5: If you've known a bloke for more than 24 hours, his sister is off limits forever -- unless you actually marry her.

started and nearly finished the xmas shopping today
the countdown is on

I posted some Chrissy cards to NZ today and that's the extent of my Christmas shopping

I'm making donations to charities in lieu of sending gifts overseas. My kids will be delighted to know they're helping disadvantaged Aussie kids get an education thanks to The Smith Family

i finally have my youngest child living with me again!
sadly - he was actually kicked out of his dad's house (but the b*****d was too cowardly to be there, so he and new wifey left the house and made the elderly grandparents tell him!)
anyway, he's here, and there is no way in hell i will ever let him go back.
and i sincerely hope that gutless b*****d is reading and copying everything i'm saying! i got your texts buddy - don't even BEGIN to try and force this child to come back! not after what your parents said to him!
i just spent an entire year encouraging my son to STAY with his dad and evil step-mommy! because i didn't want to make him choose between us

as for the girl-child....
well, she ran away (again. 3rd time now).
she's currently living on the streets or couch-surfing.
but she's about to get a rude awakening - because i have FINALLY managed to get the authorities involved and she's been listed as 'at high risk', which i believe means they can now step in and get court-ordered custody of her.
which means she will have to go live where they say, and she will have to go back to school (she quit school when she ran).

anyway - all is slowly coming back to equilibrium... and the mucho cuddles and loves from the youngest kidley bean are making my heart sing

Oxfam is great too ... through them we're helping family give a community a goat and a toilet (instead of sending the family more commercial rubbish).

i've done goats and sewing machines and micro-loans oh, and wells over the years.
but this one caught me - imagine! sight! and for so little cost!

i agree - his book is excellent.
i'm on my fourth reading, and i still find enjoyment and titbits to share.

BANDIT is a big believer in Childrens education so that is why she/we chose the Smith Family Charity this year & we do this every years.

My mother has been donating to Fred's eye Charity for many years & what a wonderful man he was.

can understand your poblems as at one time as a single parent I had two teenage boys who gave me hell to raise.
