favorited stories

So now at the bottom of stories, they display the number of people who have chosen that story as a favorite. Is there a way to see who has favorited a particular story? I'm sure I'm not the only one curious to know who my biggest fans are.

I think you'd have to call up eath author's profile separately and click on the "favorites" tab.

There's currently no way ( other than clicking every name in the member's list and checking their favorites ) to know who has favorited you/your story beyond the last 30 days.

The number is displayed at the bottom of the story, but there's no way to link that number to individual members, as things stand.

That would be a sweet feature though. I'd love to be able to see all the individual people who have favorited me and also all of those who have favorited each particular story. I wonder if it would be a difficult feature to implement?

I find that I and my stories are often made favorites for a few days and then unfavorited.

I suspect that's because some of my stories are very long so take a few days to read. By making them a favorite, the reader can get to the story quickly.

But a succession of broken heart icons is slightly depressing.

There was a Favorite Authors portal, can't find it now, that listed the top 200 or so favorited authors on the site.

I think readers favorite stories (and authors) they happen upon and want to mark for reading later. When they're done, they unmark (unfavorite).
