What Are You Thankful For???

I know that Thrusday 25th is Thanksgiving in the US, so happy thanksgiving every one!!!

So, to throw the question out there.... what are you thankful for?? Something serious? something frivolous? something wild and wacky???


So, kicking off, I'm thankful for my family, my friends - both in the RW and here, and I'm thankful that I got the last glass of wine in the bottle!!

That the end of this fucking horrible year is getting closer.
That I have a fantastic job I love.
That I have people, friends and family, who love and stand by me and have given me the strength I've needed, without question or hesitation.
That I have my writing and have fallen in love with it again this past year.
That the most wonderful girl found me, stalked me, and squirmed and kissed her way into my life. She has been my rock, and I owe her more than she will let me repay.

I am thankful for The Masters, who keep me in line and ever mindful of what I am and what I am good for.

I am thankful for my slave sister who has kissed my tears away and gives me warm comforting caresses when my body has been battered and beaten.

Since I'm at my mom's...I am grateful to her for hanging in with me when I was a definite handful as a kid and for doing her best to understand the dark places in my heart and mind.

And I am thankful for all of you on lit who have given me opportinities to be pleasing online. And to two of you who have given me that opportunity in real life as well. I hope I wasn't disappointing...

I'm not from the Thanksgiving world, either, but I it a wonderful sentiment, I think.

I'm thankful for all the luck I've had so far, and the opportunities I've been given. Of course whether or not I've taken advantage of them is another matter

and I'm thankful that I got the last glass of wine in the bottle!!

It's not thanksgiving here either but I have lots of things to be thankful for...

The simply amazing doctors and nurses who looked after our daughter and who saved her life.

Our families who've helped us through our dramatic introduction to parenthood and who've always been there, for all the little dramas too!

My darling husband without whom I know the days when you don't want to go on would have won!

My daughter who makes every day that much more special and makes me want to be the best person I can possibly be, just for her!

For friends, here and in the real world who listen, make me smile, make me feel special and make me a better writer.

I am thankful for my friends, who have stood by and waited ever so carefully for me to be okay with asking for help, and swooped in and helped me heal when I finally did ask.

I am thankful for my boyfriend, he is the most amazing man I have ever met, and I am so lucky to have him in my life. I am also thankful that I was lucky enough to meet the love of my life at such a young age (We will celebrate eight years in December).

I am thankful for my family, for teaching me how to stand on my own even if it hurts. I am thankful that my dad is a lying asshole, because I know how to see through people like that now.

I am thankful for my Mistress. That she saw something in me that I am only now discovering, that she trusts me as I trust her, and even if we are a continent apart that I carry her with me in my heart everyday.

And the friends and co-writers I have here, I am thankful for them, for being patient, for pushing, for being fucking hot and making me squirm. For the intense and crazy relationships that I have formed with some of them, and all the learning opportunities I have had.

I’m thankful for having my loving wife and family around me.
I’m thankful my wife’s worthless sister and brother will be leaving soon after the holiday.
I’m thankful I can still walk, work, hunt and fish even without the feeling in one leg.
I’m thankful I only have one more week to wait before getting the shot that is supposed to help relieve the pain I have in that numb leg since further surgeries on my back are no longer an option.

My health...having starred down two cancer scares as well as a heart attck in the last 4 years I'm more aware of my health than ever before....not out of the woods yet but I can see the way out.

My Friends...been wonderful since my father passed away (have no family anymore unless you count something like a fourth cousin leaving on the other side of the planet) and found me the property I just brought...near the beach surrounded by native bush and apparently in a town with more single women per captia than anywhere else in my country which is suffering a massive man drought...still not getting any but my odds have improved.

SKY Sports...no more watching football via a weekly highlights package a month after the event.
