(I'll put the perfunctory greeting to the forum at the bottom so as to not distract from the thread's main question.)
I have a series I've worked on here and there over the last however-longs but never contributed. Reason being, all the characters are from popular fiction. But rather than restrict the stories to the characters' private worlds, I've put them into a unique, shared plane of existence. A point of inspiration -to give you an idea/example- would be Alan Moore's "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen".
Comic books and pop culture are a huge source and influence on my stories, as well as the premise, but I've never been sure that Lit would be the place for that. Slash fiction tends to have its own, specific hang-outs on the web, and here they seem to be found under Celebrities which is.. somewhat not quite accurate? But that said, this is the site I like for erotic fiction, and since I combine characters from all manner of media (books, movies, real people, history, etc.), I haven't much looked to posting elsewhere.

Aside from the above, hello to all. I've been reading stories here since the site started years back, but never delved into the forums until now. I wish I had so I could have been writing and contributing back when I had a lot more free time! The resources and organization of jump-points is a boon for authors, for certain. I did look around a bit, but did not find this specifically addressed. Perhaps that's just because there is so much else out there. I did find some similar threads with a good deal of food for thought though, so I thank you all for that.
Also, Quiet Cool, I hope you won't mind me using a snippet from your input here http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=332725 as my signature for the time being. I just find it highly amusing both in and out of context!
