It turned into the Fall of the House.

A short philosophy lesson :

The last four letters in American..........I Can
The last four letters in Republican........We Can
The last four letters in Democrats.........We could, but.....

1. There's no "we can" in Republican or "we could, but" in Democrat. You're basically denying reality to say such a thing. Words are spelled certain ways. They don't change to your whims. Otherwise, afsdaexzlufsaff!

2. Philosophy is not cheerleader slogans. Philosophy is the examination of the human condition through accepted means of reasonable discourse.

I have not read this thread and I am not taking sides. But your comment oozes ignorance and is representative of the general inability of the typical American to even think anymore, a problem I blame on the deliberate destruction of the educational system by powerful elites who want stupid, obedient workers.

ignorance (I’ll bite my tongue this time)? This is just personal experience and those that I know that are democrats believe in and look at government for a solution. Those that are republican are typically self employed or at the c-level and they look at government as an obstacle

Forget about political parties and forget about politicians. They don't care about you. At all. They are owned by a class of corrupt rich elites, trotted out to make you think you are free.

Government and political parties are the nexus of corruption, they collude against the masses to steal. It isn't really more complicated than that.

Whenever you hear the words "the government" or "The Republicans" or "The Democrats" just substitute the word MAFIA in your mind, and you will begin to see the world as it really is.

I agree that political leaders do not care about anyone other than his or her wallet.

But now you sound like Michael Moore- who hates capitalism but loves cashing those checks he earns from his movies.

That's what we want though so we should kinda quit bitching about it.

LoL. Micheal Moore loves capitalism with all his heart. Even in his movi based on he he's not anti-capitalism as a whole, he's against it under VERY specific circumstances. Like perhaps having guys who need labor, are paid based on occupancy levels shouldn't have a hand in writing laws and dishing out sentences to criminals.

I know you're fine with writing laws to make Jaywalking illegal, then imprisoning anybody jaywalking, then using them as slave labor while also collecting money from the government for keeping dangerous criminals off the streets is simply proof that capitalism is the only way to go but there is at least a legit argument that maybe we should think about finding another way.

I posted it, he ignored it...

In the century before the Fed's creation, the purchasing power of the dollar, while subject to the inevitable fluctuations of a market economy, had approximately the same purchasing power in 1914 that it had had in 1814. Since 1914, more than 95% of the dollar's purchasing power has eroded. Money is supposed to function as a store of value. By that standard, the Fed's ward, the Federal Reserve Note, has been a miserable failure.

Second, its current policies: The Fed's second round of "quantitative easing" (QE2) continues its long tradition of bubble-creating inflationary policies. In support of QE2, the Federal Open Market Committee's Sept. 21 statement asserted that price inflation was too low, citing the official Consumer Price Index.

People living in the real world may disagree. The Commodity Research Bureau's food index has risen 27% in the last year; cotton is at a 145-year high; oil and gasoline prices have made double-digit gains. Don't look now, but the costs of eating, driving, and wearing clothes are trending higher at the very time the Fed plans to inject hundreds of billions of dollars (or trillions, if needed) to prop up Washington and Wall Street.

He doesn't have much to say anymore other than to try to still insinuate that we're too ridiculous and ignorant to pay attention to with the usual ad hominem about the sources...

The proof's in the pudding, and the pudding has been served.

Obama knows this is his new norm.

And it's all by design...

Dependents.

After QEII, I think the Fed has proved to be a failure as much as Washington; maybe time to realize and economy is not top down, but bottom up, transaction-based and the more you fuck with and regulate the transaction, the worse your economy gets. If you want to really crash it, start picking transaction winners and losers...

You can't have it both ways. Either you mess with the economy and to some extent pick winners and losers OR you deal with a top down economy where the bottom is just begging for scraps. You cannot have it both ways. Unless maybe you're playing GTA.

yeah, that'll help the economy. note sarcasm..................

Because the difference between 3.00 and 3.15 will crush the American spirit. As much as I hate taxes we wouldn't even NOTICE a 5% tax if we weren't told about it every five minutes.

I prefer to let customers pick winners and losers.
As for the bottom begging for scraps, I suspect choices made are responsible for that situation 99 percent of the time.
Your concern for the people "begging for scraps" is illustrated by your dismissal of higher gas prices.
