No public holiday here not that it makes a difference to us.

Gil has been to the doctor and he has bronchitis. He's got some pretty powerful antibiotics to take for a couple of weeks.

I'm almost over the head cold I've had since last Monday which has kept me away from the gym (I hate when that happens!). I can't believe we got through the winter without getting sick but it's almost summer and we both are crook - go figure

That's usually when you do get sick. Get well soon, both of you.

But did you see the shoes some of those girls were wearing? ;)

Thanks to all for the congrats and well wishes. Bub is awesome.. I am totally in love and totally not the boss of the house any longer.

Starting to go a little stir crazy with being limited in what I can/can't do. I miss being able to jump in the car and go out whenever the urge takes me but thinking I might start driving again next week - they can stick their 6 week deal up their nostrils!

I had a caesar with all 3 of my births, but no-one ever told me I couldn't drive for 6 weeks. Then again they never really told me I couldn't do anything after getting out of hospital. I used to drive, hang washing out, whatever after having my first two. Didn't for the twins, but that was because it was just too much hassle to get them both dressed, packed and in the car! lol

careful ICR!
i know it's hard being stuck for the 6 weeks - but i'm one who said 'stuff it' and tried anyway.
didn't work out so well for me :(
back in hospital for a repair.
NOT fun :(

I agree with WW.

As someone who wasn't allowed to drive for 6 weeks from recent surgery, and had to strap a pillow between her belly and the seat belt for weeks afterwards, I say don't do it. To drive I was told I needed off to be dilaudin for 2 wks, healed enough that if I had to slam on the breaks I could have and not rip or pull anything and that was considered to be 6 weeks.

I know tons of people who have driven successfully within 12 wks after a c section, but it all depends on what muscles they cut in you, not all csections and surgeries of the same type are done the same way.

I am on a board of women who recently had surgery and the number of re-hospitalizations due to doing too much is pretty high, and some of the complications can be down right scary.

Well I did drive for about 10 minutes late at night with no other traffic around and whilst it didn't hurt I did know I had done it. :( I am going bloody insane being stuck at home day and night! Hate it with a passion.. and with this miserable rainy weather we are having in Sydney even a nice walk is out of the question.

So someone said it's only about 7 weeks til Christmas! I haven't bought a thing! I am however looking forward to the new year and some plans I have for April!!!! :nana: Rasher won't like it cos it is still speedway season but lmao I don't care!!!

BANDIT:heart: still has a cough but back going to the gym &felling a lot better.

I've had a wipe out day with most of it spent sleeping because of the feeling of exhaustion, still aches, pains, sore throat & snotty nose but need to get better for tuesday as BANDIT:heart: is going to the hospital to get her tit squashed so would like to be there for her as she is always there for me.

Naughty girl ICR, you need a good spanking  you need to take better care of yourself for bubs sake.

BANDIT:heart: & I hope to come visit as soon as we are both healthy to see you & junior Rasher.:D

We won't count out snow here either as the weather has been shit with so much rain around I can't remember the last time I saw a sunny day.:(

It didn't stick to the ground, just a reminder of what lies ahead. lol I don't mind snow around Christmas time, then it can leave. :D

Massive band of thunder storms have been rolling through Sydney for about 4 hours with hail, heavy rain, winds & flooding. Started hearing the thunder 3 hours before they rolled in.

Forcast is for more again tomorrow after noon as well & long range weather forcasters say get used to it as it's going to be a cooler summer day times but steamy nights with lots of wet weather & severe storms on the Aussie east coast.

maybe that will cut back on all the wildfires you folks have down there. :D

unfortunately, the thunderstorm we had the other night resulted in 2 fires down here.
lightening hit the trees several times, and when the rain stopped, the smouldering trees took off.
i'm lucky coz i have open paddocks all the way round the house, so the chances of this house getting caught are exceedingly slight.
the trees on the house paddock are all isolated as well.
