Is it just me or are the airlines and airports getting busier and later and later?

I've been doing a fair bit to kill the ozone layer lately - am back in Adelaide again today, Brisbane tomorrow night, Melbourne on Friday and again the following Monday.

lately the number of flights cancelled or delayed seems to be rising, even getting reasonable seats is getting harder and harder, airports seem busier - the economy must be picking up!!

Is there anywhere in Brisbane CBD good for a drink late on a Monday night?

Knee & hip replacements are elective to the system but talk to the patient who has been in pain & struggling with steps, hills, getting in & out of seats, getting in & out of cars & even inclines all cause pain plus even time spent standing & moving in creases pain.

Bad news from my heart specialist is that she sees the medical system making it everyone pays whyich I replied "If that is the case I guess there will be a lot of struggling people going untreated & deaths will solve the demands on the system so that is one fantastic idea" :mad::mad:

Hey Gil,

Yep it seems you can only get treatment if you can afford it. I can afford to pay so I'm not complaining I can't I just don't see why just because I can afford private health insurance that magically I get charged more. The medical expenses keep going up. I got a bill for an 'investigation' test which was a bit of a surprise considering I signed the pathology form so I wouldn't get a bill. Seems this little 'investigation' wasn't covered. So I go over to Medicare only to be told..."sorry that item with the highest cost isn't one of our numbers"...excellent!! That's why I'm paying the Medicare levy...so I can't claim on the stuff that costs more...excellent system that!

Even dying is expensive...wonder if they sell shares in funeral companies?...I could make a killing lol.

Evening all,

Hope your weekend went well even with the cold windy shit weather thing going on in most states and territories. Friday was crap weather basically, it was useless using an umbrella in Melbourne town with that crazy wind so you got wet no matter what. Saturday was better but still wet and yesterday was still cold and less wet. And so we move on to today which was kinda the same. Had the day off and yes you guessed it as soon as I decided to go out to do stuff it rained on me.

Along with the wierd weather I had technology breakdowns, firstly the new space heater I purchased last year with all the hi-tech stuff in it, just wouldn't fire up. Kept telling me to fuck off with its blinking red light and message 11. Code for "fuck off and stop presssing the button idiot". Luckily I have a spare heater. It is supposed to be October so I shouldn't need one at all.

Now today after I purchased a new game the PS3 which never gives trouble, decided to go out in sympathy with the heater. I've had PS consoles previously and not one issue with them. Once again hi-tech telling me to fuck off...they obviously don't build things to last these days what with our consumer society of "don't worry about quality it will be replaced when it breaks down...didn't we tell you...we design it to fail after the warranty expires...how else are we going to make money...you can just buy another one.


Congratulations to ICR and Rasher and the nice healthy baby. 9lbs is better than being the other way. My nephew's little one was premature and she was so small, but has gained weight and is now 1 yr old. She looks alot healthier and thankfully is doing fine. Babies should be chubby.

Hello to all the new people.

My friend who turned 50 loved my present...well OK she liked the chocolates which I packed on top..the rest was..how should I put it...a surprise :D Somehow she thinks I packed it that way on purpose...it was the only way it would fit in the box...I didn't want the spak filler and stud finder to squash the choclolates...honest!
 
BANDIT:heart: has just had a text from her brother in Christchurch & that have had another quake of 5 but it was a lot closer, described it as strong & violent.

Well what a fantastic night it was rocking to both the support band Black Label & then the Angels, we had a great spot to view from in what I called the royal box which was up a level from the common folk below us.

You were in Brisbane? Could have shown you where you could find something warm and wet for those lips. Of course I mean a great cafe which serves fantastic coffee ;)

But I do agree with the airport comments. Having flown to Sydney of late it seems that the journey now has an extra bit of time tacked on and the waiting time has risen inexplicably. What I really resent is the cattle lines waiting to check your luggage. Am seriously thinking of finding ways to get my 24kgs to 7kgs for carry on. Ha! like that would happen. How could I choose which body lotion to leave and only one perfume?? Good lord, that is uncivilised. I'd not feel right. Two pairs of boots? Damn, guess I'm resigned to standing cattle like, doing the shuffle.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Doing a count down here before I head to the land of sheep shaggers for a few weeks holidays. Been going into a New Zealand chat room on another site to practice my Kiwi, they don't have a broad sense of humour do they? Laughs. Oh well, be able to offend both islands in just over a fortnight...hmm maybe I missed my calling to the Diplomatic Corp. :devil:

HMMM I do know a wonderful Kiwi who has a wonderful sense of humour & if you wanted some practice understanding KIWI she could assist with that, My loverly BANDIT:heart: is a Kiwi although speaks fairly good Aussie now.

By the time "Am I ever gunna see ya face again" came on the crowd were jumping, bumping & fist pumping along then came the entire crowd singing "No way, get fucked, fuck off"!
 
well here it is - Sunday - bike club ride day and my bloody back is still out - that's two weeks now .. think I need a new one ... or just a good hard shagging lol:D
