Lola's Lair

....Hi! :)

How's my crush today?

Meh. Not to gripe and complain, but I twisted my bad knee last night and woke up with a sore throat. It's definitely a "sit on the couch" kind of day. I didn't even get to go through with my plans for last night. :(

Anyway. No big deal. :D How are you today, my lovely?

Ouch man. I know that feeling with the knee. I've got arthritis in both along with torn menisci that only show up on MRI. Wrenching a bad knee just makes me shudder.

Very tired! I'm about to settle in for an afternoon nap with dog. I'm sorry to hear about your mishap.... And a cold... :(

You need the love of a good woman.... ;)

Hi sabersoul, thanks for your nice post.

Knees are bad for pain, I think it's worse if you're tall - more likely to hurt 'em maybe? Anyway i've always been lucky, touch wood, no knee trouble.

I've got some structural damage in my right one, as well as missing a significant portion of cartilage. IMO, the only thing worse than bad knees is a bad back.

I can't say I blame you! I'll probably settle in for one later with my pup. And thanks, doll. :rose:

Hmmm..... I just might have an idea or two on that subject...... ;)

morning babe, hope your weekend is going well :)

Hey slim,

I'm having a great weekend.... Very lazy, lol. I took some pix for today's panty blog but will post em later after I've had my doggy nap!

Hope you're having a good one too, honey.

I've got the tall thing down pat. 6'4" and 210 lbs. My surgeon told me it's not uncommon in tall people to have knee problems. He cleaned up as much of the cartlidge damage in the worse of my knees as he could, so it's better. I haven't needed my cane in the year since I had the work done, but still have pain every now and again.

Of course I still can't help but laugh about the first time I went to London. I was in a Sainsbury's and helped a lady get something off a tall shelf (since I could reach). First, she actually acted surprised that I was nice enough to help, but then started asking me if I was a manager back here in the States just because I was so tall. Makes me giggle every time I think about it.

Veeeeeery sexy, keep it up... err... figuratively...

Hi Opera,

Thanks for stopping by...

I'm glad you think the pics are sexy, I try...

Morning sammy (actually it's afternoon here, Monday is scarily close).

We've had sunshine too, just clouding over now hence my nap...!

That's a funny story.... On so many levels, lol.

Not used to people being helpful or tall in London.... :D

There's a lot of places here in the states that aren't used to people being helpful. I'm Texan, which makes me Southern as well, and the vast majority of us are very helpful, polite, and friendly. It bugs me when we've gone up north and no one holds the door for anyone or other little polite things like that.

Hope yer enjoying the nap.....lazybones ;) xxxx

It was a lovely nap, thank you..... I am sooo a lazybones I'm not denying it, lol. The chilly weather has made me soft, I've moved to the sofa now to watch a movie....! :D

Hope your Sunday night is treating you well handsome. x

Hi, hope you're having a good weekend. Like your new av choice by the way. :D

Hey pongi.... Great you said hello. I'm glad you like the new av, it's a pic I posted awhile back so I thought I'd recycle it...! :D

It's true, friendliness is definitely cultural.... London tends to make people very selfish, it's an 'every man for himself' world. The rest of the country is much more civil although I'm still trying to work out the 'North-South' divide here - sounds like that is everywhere! :)

In defense of the north in the States, we aren't all rude...I admit to pockets of "man, people around here really suck..." but having lived both up north and down south I'd say it's more the way people offer help rather than whether they're helpful and friendly or not...I'm just sayin'

What movie is brewin' miss L?

Social commentatotrs have tried to work that one out for years!!! I think that most people use it as a convenient excuse.

It's funny about the South though. We're polite, helpful, and hospitable..... until you walk away. Then the gossiping and sarcasm comes out. It's all ok though, because we justify it. Things like "Bless her heart, she's just dumb as a hammer" get said.
