about my keyboard :(

has anyone got any ideas that'd help? it's been going on for ages now, and it's a pain in the arse, to be honest: there's seems some conflict somewhere - i can't just type a letter c, the cursor jumps to the top of the text randomly and i have to c&p the c... if i type the &c it also adds whatever i last c&cp'd <-- see? when i use the dash -# it types dashhash. when i type the number seven, it doesn't appear but brings me up firefox help page! when i type the number 2 it often, but not always, drops the cursor to the next line, and 5 shows up but reloads the page i'm typing in!!!

because of all this silliness, i have to have a notepad open with the letters/numbers on them ready to copy as required.

First blush sounds like keyboard isn't most compatible hardware. Has unplugging worked? Does it go back to normal when you restart and then eventually get buggy? I'm sure there's someone you know with an extra keyboard lying around, try changing it out. If that stuff doesn't work, probably means virus or hardware problem in CPU. Virus can be fixed with update to virus scan program. I hate mine, it's always trying to do some sort of scan and slowing my browsing time down.

i have 2
keyboards -# (see what i mean?) and i tend to swap them around. when i switch the problems either disappear or are far fewer, but then grow as i use it.

i'm always running scans and deleting buggies

mine does that and freezes the damn cursor or makes it run away up the page which is damn annoying if you are about to get an enormous score on some game

as for the k/b- mine was acting up til I updated and installed new drivers. Just look up yours at Google and see if you're offered anything like that. If 2 of them are doin it its probably not the k/b.

morning, ladies just a very brief note to say last night this kb went really tits up - if i typed an a i got ao, a , earned me ,u , an l got me li and so on. drove me mental. i swapped kbs this morning and i couldn't even sign into my pc as it wouldn't type the letter a at all! so i've put this one back on, and though there are minor glitches, aot lieaost .... oh shit,u it'ps doing it aogaoin gonnao haove to run some spywaore aond stuff when i get home from work. goddaomn!

What language is your windows set to?
Sometimes function keys will change your keyboard layout. To fix it, go to My Computer, Control Panel, Regional and Language Options and write down where they are now and then reset them to default and restart, change the language to GB and if things are totally f*cked up, you can put the settings back from your record.
I can't guarantee this will fix it, but heck, it's worth a shot.
