 Seems two tornados hit New York City, one in Brooklyn, one in Queens (I know there's a joke in there, somewhere).

All New York City Litizens okay? Please check in!

I'm on the wrong side of the river and wasn't affected, unless a part of my house is missing and I didn't notice because I haven't been in every room yet.

*double checks*

Nope, all there. No apparent damage to the yard or neighbors either.

We had 7 in Kansas.

No press, though.

Guess we're used to being blown.
:p Oh, you Kansans. Always boasting about your tornadoes. Like one children's book with a little girl being swept away in one makes you all that.

We're talking skyscrapers here! Queens! Brooklyn! This is news, darn it! ;)

Snort! Hell, 3, Lakewood has had tornadoes. One blasted my next door neighbor's tree one night and then went down the street de-limbing jacarandas. So New York has two. Whoopee-doo. Those N'yakhah's are always claiming their city has everything, why shouldn't they get a twister or two?

New York is supposed to be immune to Tornados because the skyscrapers don't permit circular winds to form. Two tornados in NYC are news because they're not only not normal, they're supposed to be impossible -- just ask any New Yorker/ :p

Just goes to show what N'Yawkah's know about anything.

*nods sagely*
More what city kids know about mother nature. :p

Residents of Chicago, LA, and most every other city with skyscrapers know that tornados can't happen where they live because the buildings break up the wind. The suburbs and small towns might have problems, but that's their fault for leaving the safety of the big city.
