In the case of the ground zero mosque, the imam-in-charge did not have the $100,000,000.00 he said the mosque would cost.

In the case of the koran-burning-pastor, he has a very small church and fifty congregants. Not much of an income after passing the plate.

Both publicity stunts attracted world attention.

The imam went on a fund raising trip paid for by our own State Department. He'll get the money he needs.

The pastor will probably have hundreds of people sign up for membership in his church. He will probably get enough donations to build a nice big new church.

Only in America!

Yeah, it was totally necessary to start yet another thread about this topic.

I find it interesting that some people think it is fine to build a Mosque near Ground Zero, yet think it is uncool to burn Korans. Or vice versa.

I'm not taking a stand on either one, except to say that it is hypocritical to support one, yet condemn the other. They are both insensitive, mean-spirited, and jerky things to do, and both are completely legal.

Did a family member of yours die in the 9/11 attacks? No? Then it isn't up to you to decide what is and isn't "insensitive," is it?

Fucking morons, the lot of you, just looking for a reason to hate someone.

It would certainly be insensitive to build a mosque full of terrorists near ground zero.

The pastor is a whack job, of course.

Ummmm.... you don't get to do both halves of a Q&A, you know.

Yes, because we all know that building a community center that happens to contain a prayer room several blocks away from a 9 year old tragedy that you had nothing to do with is just as bad as publicly burning another religion's holy book and declaring them the source of all evil right?

If you choose to rebuke that then explain what these people had to do with the attacks? They just happen to believe in the same religion as those who committed them. Also, don't claim that the Muslims have done the same thing to flags or Bibles because that wasn't in America. If it happened in America there would be just as much outrage (or even more).

It is similar to seeing an episode of Cheaters and then beating up your girlfriend because she happens to be a woman.

Why waste your time responding to Fauxnews regurgitations? Carney is just one more miserable little hater.

Write, my friends.

Write porn, write erotica, write love, write what you came here to write.

You don't mind, do you. if some of us take a break from writing, to consider what else is going on in the world?

We have a sacred calling to produce smut, and we shouldn't let ourselves be sidetracked by jerking knees. ;)

I go away for four days, and y'all are still on this bender?
