yes it did haha ;) - but that came later, i dont know the exact date but it must have been later than 1066 because Harald Haadrada, a norwegian king invaded england in 1066 as a norwegian, not a dane :)

was norway still under danish rule by napoleons time? just wondering if norway was danish when the british navy destroyed the danish navy at anchor in copenhagen....;)

hah, im not surprised you dont like him, although he wasn't in charge ;) that was lord hood i think, or lord howe...one of those two :p

ah, the might of prussia...they nicked some land around tat time i believe...i didn;t know bismarck was involved with that though - just knew the 'army that has a state' had a little punch up :p

I'm from Slesvig (schleswig) and my part of Slesvig was German from 1864-1920
 
aha, kind of like strasbourg...the germans nick someting and then they have it stolen from them in turn :p

We actually had a vote in 1920 about the division of Schleswig and Holstein (I hate that the English use their German names instead of the proper Danish ones:p)
