NEW YORK -- The New York Daily News is reporting that Red Sox Hall of Famer Ted Williams' severed head was mistreated at an Arizona cryonics facility, according to details from a new book.

In "Frozen," Larry Johnson, a former executive at the Alcor Life Extension Foundation in Scottsdale, Ariz., writes that Williams' head, which had been severed and frozen for storage, was abused at the facility. Johnson claims a technician took baseball-like swings at Williams' frozen head with a monkey wrench.

Theodore Samuel "Ted" Williams (August 30, 1918–July 5, 2002) was a left fielder in Major League Baseball. He played 21 seasons with the Boston Red Sox, twice interrupted by military service as a Marine Corps pilot. Nicknamed The Kid, the Splendid Splinter, Teddy Ballgame, and The Thumper, he is generally considered one of the greatest hitters ever.[1][2]

I would be upset and disturbed, if any beloved and respected sports figure had been mistreated and disrespected like that. The greats should be treated with respect and digninty and maybe even reverence.

has decided to tell the students of USA schools,

that men handed women the vote on a silver platter,

out of the kindness of their hearts.

The women's struggle to get the right to vote has been erased.

Suffragettes carried out direct action such as chaining themselves to railings, setting fire to mailbox contents, smashing windows and on occasions setting off bombs. One suffragette, Emily Davison, died after she stepped out in front of the King's horse, Anmer, at the Epsom Derby of 1913. Many of her fellow suffragettes were imprisoned and went on hunger strikes, during which they were restrained and forcibly fed.

Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott began a seventy-year struggle by women to secure the right to vote. In 1850, Lucy Stone organized a larger assembly with a wider focus, the National Women's Rights Convention in Worcester, Massachusetts. Susan B. Anthony, a native of Rochester, New York, joined the cause in 1852 after reading Stone's 1850 speech.

Women's suffrage activists pointed out that blacks had been granted the franchise and had not been included in the language of the United States Constitution's Fourteenth and Fifteenth amendments.

The suffragettes campaign reached its height by 1912, and in 1913 the so-called Cat and Mouse Act was passed by the British government to prevent suffragettes from obtaining public sympathy; it provided for the release of those whose hunger strikes had brought them sickness and for their re-imprisonment once they had recovered.

OK - I see the "hysterical" and "neurotic" and maybe even the "hormonal" sides now...does that mean the "sexual" will be along soon?

Or, no?

I don't read you anymore voluntarily, but the eye in the back of my thread see you...

...so I'm getting behind you just to keep the other on you...STALKER!

They chose to let them harvest the Blue Fin tuna, during the height of spawning season? Are you #@!!&%* kidding me?
Won't see them taking up space on a P-Town dock, for a long time. If ever again. *steam coming of of ears*

Well, if they successfully reanimate him in the future, I guess he'll have brain damage.

Tax payer's money. This is where it is going.

Tax payers of the United States are paying for the salary of sub-contractors,
to take Wild Mustang horses off of the land.
(The horses were fine. The land was fine. BLM lied to get what it wanted.)

Tax payers of The United States are paying people to keep Wild Mustang horses crowded into pens,
with no food, water or medical care, or shade, or protection from the weather.
70 million dollars will go to these heartless people next year.

Tax payers are paying for the land that cattle ranchers will feed their herds, for pennies.

Tax payers are paying the Bureau of Land Management (BLM),
Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS)
David Cattoors- who has semi-truck with a livestock trailer and helicopter and a contract with the Bureau of Land Management.

We are giving our tax money to these people to chase horses,
until the Mustangs hurt themselves or kill themselves.

We are giving these people our tax money to vasectomize” and “ovarectomize” Wild Mustang horses.
(What happened to putting the fillies on birth control and letting them get gang raped by inexperienced stallions. No profit in that, for The Department of Agriculture?)
We paid tax money for that, too)
Those are the lucky horses that will return to the a refuge. (What kind of refuge?)
There are pits for dead horses and horse skeletons all over the area. Why?

30 years of protections for wild free-roaming horses and burros which were removed by the 2005 Omnibus Spending Bill.

Bureau of Land Management sells wild horses at auction for slaughter to the highest bidder?

Reno NV (July 7, 2010

The foals, mares and stallions were rounded up by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) two weeks ago and were turned over to the Nevada Department of Agriculture for disposal. The state is not required to adopt out these horses as is required for federally managed wild horses, so they will be sold to the highest bidder on Saturday July 10, 2010 at the Fallon Livestock Exchange in Fallon, Nevada. Ordinarily the highest bidder of untamed, unbranded, unregistered wild horses is the local kill buyer for horse slaughter plants in Mexico or Canada—destined to become an expensive meat product for sale in Europe and Asia going for as much as $25 a pound
(The killer buyers went home with empty trucks! The activists came up with the $$$$ to save the horses)

Perpignan is one of 60 French towns that have struck upon a cheaper and greener way to collect household waste – ditching the dustbin lorry in favour of a horse and cart.

The horse slaughter industry in Texas has taken two body blows which seems likely to keep the two plants closed - at least for the time being.

A Senate Bill that slaughter opponents believed could have been used to reopen the plant effectively lapsed at midnight on Sunday, with no action taken.

Then, just days later, the US Supreme Court decided against hearing a challenge by the two Texas plants seeking the right to reopen.

The plants were forced to shut their doors after a recent court ruling upheld a 1949 state ban on slaughter.

Slaughter opponents believe the industry will not be closed for good in the US until a federal law is passed not only banning slaughter for human consumption, but forbidding the shipment of horses north and south of its borders to meet a similar fate.

Earlier this year, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals had rejected a similar effort by the horse slaughter industry to overturn Texas law banning the possession of horse meat for human consumption.

June 30, 2007

The doors have been shut once again on Cavel International, America's only operating horse slaughter plant. Just hours before its temporary restraining order expired at midnight on Thursday night, US District Court Judge Frederick Kapala held an emergency hearing and denied Cavel's request that the court allow it to continue to evade prosecution under state law, pending the outcome of an appeal related to the case in the US Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.

Immediately following the passage in May of a new Illinois law that makes it a crime to slaughter horses for human consumption.

so, you think its okay for people to re-write history and teach that to children to further their own political agendas?

Well I will answer it if no one else will. They have been doing it for years in small and large ways, it is just in recent years, when correct info. is so readily available that they are being called on their bull-shit. I was taught to seek my information outside politically controlled sources and I have taught my children the same.
Guess what, if your kids go in with the truth instead of the 'approved' history, they will be marked down, if not completely failed or incomplete. Seriously. not only are they changing history they are making sure we pay for finding the truth.

Is it right? It makes me ashamed of our country, and most especially those we allow to run it.

Hidalgo (film)

February 17, 2004 (2004-02-17) (Texas)
March 5, 2004

In 1891, a wealthy sheikh, Sheikh Riyadh (Omar Sharif), invited an American, Frank T. Hopkins (Viggo Mortensen), and his mustang horse, Hidalgo, to enter the Ocean of Fire, an annually held three thousand mile survival race across the Najd desert restricted to the finest Arabian horses bred of the purest and noblest lines.

Hopkins wins the race and travels home to America, later to buy many mustangs who had been sentenced to death by the Government.
These he releases into the wild, allowing Hidalgo to go with them.

Cloud: Wild Stallion of the Rockies.

This program premiered November 4, 2001.

America’s wild horses lead an exhilarating but perilous existence. The climate can be brutal, mountain lions and other predators stalk the young, and their dependence on public grazing lands for sustenance often puts them in competition with livestock interests. In some places where these magnificent animals roam, it is not unusual for a wild horse to fall victim to an illegal horse shooter.

Against this backdrop, NATURE presents Cloud’s story. Filmed in the mountains of Montana, this poignant, engrossing chronicle focuses on an extraordinary stallion, whose life has been recorded since his birth in the wild in 1995 by Emmy-winning filmmaker Ginger Kathrens.

Death Toll Rises In Nevada Wild Horse Roundup
January 4, 2010

Winnemucca, Nevada – An older mare “euthanized” by rifle, orphaning her young foal, and a six-month old foal who collapsed and died after a helicopter chase are among the first week’s victims of the controversial Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) wild horse roundup in the Calico Mountains Complex in northwestern Nevada , In Defense of Animals (IDA) announced today.

The BLM reports that these horses will eventually be transferred to long-term holding facilities in the Midwest . The Calico roundup, the largest removal of wild horses in recent years, aims to permanently remove up to 2,500 horses, as much as 90 percent of the population, living in the half-million acre public lands complex.

U.S. District Court Judge Paul L. Friedman, while declining to halt the roundup, did conclude that the BLM’s stockpiling of horses in Midwestern holding facilities was likely illegal. IDA has appealed to the Obama Administration to halt the roundup while the case continues in federal court in Washington , DC.

Under the Bush administration the numbers of wild horses removed by the BLM from their Western ranges tripled.
Despite promising change, the Obama administration has accelerated the removals, with plans to capture 12,000 wild horses in 2010.
The majority of those horses will be sent to long-term holding facilities in the Midwest.

Under the Salazar/Obama plan the government will warehouse in the Midwest nearly double the number of horses,
allowed to live freely on public lands in the West.

Currently the BLM manages more than 256 million acres of public lands of which cattle grazing is allowed on 160 million acres;
wild horses are only allowed on 26.6 million acres this land, which must be shared with cattle.

Since 1971 when Congress protected wild horses as “living symbols of freedom” and important parts of our national heritage.

2010 and the horses will be forced to stay in the Midwest, after spending 400 years, adapting and surviving in places that could not bring men a profit.

We love wild horses for their freedom and will to survive.

They will send these horses to death camps, to break their spirits and break their health.

Horses make families. Wise mares. Wise stallions. Raise their families,
well enough to survive for another generation.

2010 -The horses that the BLM release are sterile. No more families.

Actually I think George Brett hit over .400.

Williams was the last guy to do it, Brett came close (.390).

Before Williams, it was done by six players. Ty Cobb, Rogers Hornsby, George Sisler were the best at it.

Ahh okay, I just remembered him hitting .401 and his arms raised on 2nd base. Duh, it wasn't for the whole year.

390 is still very very close. He was probably like five hits from achieving it, less than one per month over the season.
