It's time for another season of fantasy football.

We have a full league of 12 managers. I have confirmed three keepers for 11 of the 12 teams. Bootie Mob's keepers have not been relayed to me. That team has until Friday to let me know or I will pick keepers for them.

After careful consideration I think I will slightly alter what is required for individual defensive players. I think we should have a DL, LB and DB. One player from each areas of the defence. If there are any strenuous objections please let me know.

Here is the list of teams and their keepers.

You've heard of destination weddings...now there are destination drafts. I'm headed to Vegas at the end of the month to attend one of my keeper league's drafts. Uber-fast WiFi, a female MC wearing pads, servers dressed as cheerleaders and all the shrimp you can eat.

Go fig.

but do they spring for the hookers or do you gotta pay for that out of pocket?

Are you serious? You're now my hero!

Are we going to vote to determine a draft date soon or has it already been decided (I may have missed something...actually it's quite likely)?

I have a question, I'm in two leagues, both live draft and loads of fun.

But one of these leagues has now gone to IDP, LB DL & DB.

What round do these players usually go off the board in?
I'm thinking Patrick Willis in the seventh, and maybe John Beeson?

But they're is probably going to be players on the offense that can get me more points up until the tenth round.

Also I can see Jared Allen going early.

Unless your league doesn't have flex positions or rewards defensive plays at a clip higher than Yahoo! standard, I can't see picking up Willis in the seventh round. Lots of assumptions here, but in a typical 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1-2FLEX, 1DEF, 2Ds, you'd be taking Willis ahead of 1 or 2 flex positions, essentially taking his average X solo tackles, occasional sacks and rare INT/INT TDs over a strong hancuff RB/goal-line vulture, KR or strong 3rd WR on a passing team.

If it were me, I'd draft the skills positions first.

i've got someone who wants some action.

I want in!!

Double X can pwn with a fresh player team and if not a winner - I AM a sticker! Make me number 12. Quite the perfect roster number for the Seahawk in me...

(Not clear what the result is on that 12th team, managed by a guy already involved? Put my card in, mate. I will bring big dedication and there's no pacifist in me, eh.)

Who dropped out, Commish? I can ask friends if we're in need of a fill-in manager.

Also, any clarity on Bootie Mob's keepers?

I do have Bootie Mob's keepers. He emailed them to me.

Rogers. Johnson and Williams.

I guess the only unfilled slot is the team run by rimmy.

We have a problem. rimmy has returned to the league after I already designated his team to Radiohead.

I guess there are two choice. I kick rimmy out of the league, because I didn't ever receive confirmation that he was returning to the league and has named no keepers for his roster. Or Radiohead becomes an expansion team and I add one more manager and allow them to pick three keepers each from the available players.

I prefer the expansion route. I have no interest in removing anybody from the league, because they don't post at this forum anymore.

What does everybody else think?

We do need to determine a draft date. The Sunday I currently have picked is when I'm away on a camping trip.

Here is what I've decided. rimmy can name his keepers at the league page. If they are not named by Sunday of this week I will pick three keepers for that team.

Radiohead is now an expansion team. I need one more expansion team to bring the league to 14. I've had some interest already expressed in the thread.

Anybody that is interested please PM me ASAP and make your case. I will choose the new manager this coming Sunday.

The two new managers will then pick alternating keepers from the list of available players not protected as keepers on any roster. However, players that were not in the NFL last season are not eligible to be keepers. Expansion keepers must have played in the league last season. This happened at least once in a previous season.

Please let me hear ideas for the draft date. I'm pretty open the two weeks around the current date (Sept. 5) because I'm on vacation those two nights. For family reasons I prefer later in the evening (after 9 pm).

I disagree with moving the date.

The date has been posted since the League page was open, which has been what, six weeks now? I, for now, rearranged plans for that weekend so as to be available. We've traditionally not changed the date so as to accommodate any one individual, even if that individual is the Commish.

I agree with Rimmy... Spence you picked the original date and time to begin with. I have other drafts slated for the next few weeks and don't relish the possibility that I could be juggling two drafts at the same time for a second time this season.
