This is a place to recommend particularly well written threads that you are reading. It should not be a place to advertise threads in which you actually participate. Let us know the basic premise and why you clicked 'subscribe.'

I think this would be a good place to highlight talented newcomers, as well as the threads of more established writers. It will give people the opportunity to look here for threads they'd like to read and identify SRPers who they'd like to write with in the future.

Discussion between people who have read a recommended thread is fine here. If you'd like to thank someone for mentioning your thread though, please keep that to PM. I'm hoping this will become a go-to place for people seeking hot new stuff to read. And don't forget all our lurkers/fans.

So...

Veroe has a similar concept in play, fuckmeat, but when it comes to concepts as good as this one; the more the merrier.

I'll make a list later tonight.

Avid Lit reader, always happy to help out fuckmeat! ;)

Thread title/Link and Authors: Surrender to the Legions - Writers: Marauder13 and YoungLisa

Premise

The Britons are fighting back against Roman suppression, set between a Roman Legionaire and the most famous Briton Rebel Mergan

Why I just gotta shout about it!

This was the first thread I started reading when I joined Literotica, since then I haven't stopped reading it but have become engaged and enthralled by Tiberius and Mergan's journey together.

It's incredibly difficult to write a historical setting accurately but I think that Marauder and YoungLisa come amazingly close, Mergan starts out a free woman but when she is captured by the Roman general, she is an angry spitfire of a woman. Eventually Tiberius comes to show her what enjoyment there is to be gained through acceptance of her fate as his slave and though Tiberius will never admit it, we all know how much in love with Mergan he really is.

The twists and turns have been very enjoyable thus far, I hope that these two have not seen the end and will give yet more surprises to come!

Thread: Auction from Hell

Writers: LucianDevine and Ladythunder

Why:

This was the first thread I actively read on lit, and did so before I was acquainted personally with either writer. I love the tone, the styles, the setting, and the story. As incredibly hot as the scenes are, the fact that there is a real story behind it makes it better. This remains one of my absolute favorite threads, if not number one. I encourage anyone with an interest in bdsm or the like to read this, it's very good.

Oops, I didn't realise that, hope I don't tread on any toes.

Can I ask for a recommendation? I am desperate for a good Bond/Mr & Mrs Smith feel story. Dunno...I'm in the mood for some spy action. What would you guys suggest?

*smiles warmly* Thank you for any replies.

I used to have a thread marked ... what was it ... "Forget Fox" I think was the title. velvetDarkness wrote with ... was it ThePG?

I liked it, It wasn't really like retro spy tho, more modern, world copnspiracy, but covert nonetheless.

One of my favorite threads I've ever been involved in, thanks for the props. I'm so sad Velvet is gone :(

Forget Fox - It's basically a Jason Bourne style thread, but a bit more... Sadistic.

I don't mind fuckmeat, as Light Ice says the more the merrier.
People need all the appreciation from their peers to give them a perk they can get. There's room for more threads of this kind.

I'd like to second Rider's recomendation. It wasn't the first thread I read on Lit...actually it was the first of LT's I read though and made me a fan of hers like it did for Rider. I read it because I was already a fan of Lucian's who is awesome in this subject.

true Rider, very true. My choice of wording above was unfortunate.

Shawn and Sean - one woman and one man who both share the same name with slightly different spelling. The difference? Shawn is an innocent civilian gardener woman who runs a nursery business while Sean is an undercover cop in the mafia. The mob know they have a mole but have they targeted the wrong Shawn?

Why I just gotta shout about it!

I stayed up 12 straight hours to get caught up in this thread, why? Cause I got hooked, I was desperate to know what would happen next!

Both Marauder and Alana deserve a standing ovation for this thread, they each throw in their own curve balls and surprises, leaving unexpected cliff hangers and generally shocking the reader. Marauder threw this one in my lap and suggested I have a look, since then I have not stopped reading and am in total awe of them both for it.

I have to say that for a thread not overly discussed in any manner, where both authors simply throw out the basic plot and get started, Marauder is a great co writer and able to hold his own in anything (speaking from begrudgingly personal experience!).

Alana is amazing in her passion for her writing, her descriptions leap right off the screen and her character's emotions are made impossibly clear from the text. You can put yourself inside the room with these two just by reading what they write. I will be sad to see it end but I gotta say, I can't wait to find out just how they'll do that either!

Oh what a lovely thing to find on my first night back!!!..

Thank you so much Minxi! I'm truly humbled and delighted you still enjoy the thread. Gosh what a terrific compliment, and I know M13 will be chuffed too..And he is wonderful in how he pulled my simple idea into a super story , making it very much his too..He's a wonderful partner.

Thank you though Minxi for this.:rose::rose::rose:

Thread title: Pulled Off The Ladder Link: Pretty recent, should be findable
Authors: Caela and PowerDog16

Premise: Promising buisness woman gets kidnapped on a buisness trip and forced into slavery after a grueling training by 3 (almost) concieceless henchmen

Why I just gotta shout about it!
Because it's probably the only rape story that I could bare reading. There were a few times where I had to stop reading because I felt somewhat disgusted by what was being said, but it was also incredibly fascinating to read about just how much person can indure and how resilient some people can be.

Plus, Caela used to be a good friend of mine back then :p

You are very welcome Alana :rose: I will definitely be reading ;)

Thread title/Link and Authors: Psyren - Writers: VampiricTouch, DarkEmpress, Litshark, chronicle_tenko, Marauder13, Mephistophilily

Premise

Set between the present and future world, the game of Psyren is played where people answer the phone to a monotone voice, the players answer questions and are told they've entered Psyren. When next the phone rings, the ringing grows louder until the player answers it or goes utterly deaf. Once the phone is picked up, the player vanishes from the present world and into the futuristic post apocalyptic world of Psyren where they either find the exit, find a deadly zone, find a monster and may never be seen again.

Why I just gotta shout about it!

Okay firstly I gotta give it up to LitShark right here because this was the first time someone's writing had actually made me physically shudder. When the monster known as Nester kills the Asian Yakuza; Ichi, I thought I was going to be sick, it was astounding and truly amazing writing.

The only thing Nester thinks is a continuously replayed instruction - Keep the blade sharp. Keep the zone secure. Which makes it all the more creepy. I give him a standing ovation on that scene alone!

Vampiric_Touch gets a round of applause for bringing together yet another fantastic group thread and surprising me with her organisational skills. Not to mention the ideas this woman can come up with, I was humbled to assist her with a bit of cursing for a post.

Dark_Empress can play both sides of the coin, I've never seen someone who can switch characters from weak and feeble woman to strong killer warrior quite like she can and does in this thread. Angel scares the living hell out of me and fascinates me at the same time.

Marauder can never be left out, Alexander is another of his characters which forces me to scratch my head a little bit. I always seem to wanna know more about the motivations and history of his characters and he has a great way of keeping me captured by only delivering the smallest increments.

Before this thread, I had no idea Mephistophilily was such an awesome writer! Where the hell has she been hiding?! Now I just can't get enough, she makes me laugh and cry and shiver all at once. I must be following at least three of her threads and she is definitely one of the top writers on this forum!

Chronicle_tenko is always one to leave me marveling at how creatively and descriptively he can simply master a post. His characters are so diverse from one thread to another that it simply amazes me that he is the writer of all of them. Without knowing I would guess he was several writers in one, his style however, is unmistakable and unforgettable. Utterly wonderful at that. I can't wait to see what Chance will do next!

Thread: The Vixen & The Rogue

Authors: Cherry and Raven

Why: Friends to lovers has never been a bigger turn on, OMG its so hot you sizzle reading it ....seriously I want to see it published and I want a copy (signed please), it is toping most steamy romance novels I have read (and that is a lot) and they haven't even done the good bits yet. I am hooked, great job guys.

Combat trauma is more common but less known about so what happens when the soldier isn't treated and goes home? This thread is all about a soldier affected by his tour of Iraq who comes home to his wife with less of his mind intact.

Why I just gotta shout about it!

This thread only has two pages of posts on it but from the outset, I have been a loyal follower. Psychology fascinates me and on more than one occasion I have been told that I write minds very well, however to compete with Travis' mind may well be beyond me though not beyond my understanding.

I find watching his depreciating sanity an intriguing experience and though PG did not write this from the start, I will tell you that he has certainly not ruined it or the character (as can happen when others take over in threads). Fuckmeat plays a wife better than I'd have expected and her character's mind is one of endurance, strife and anger.

Though I caution you, this is not a thread for the faint of heart. It is increasingly violent and sadistic, Travis is not the loving romantic he once was. PG's imagination is a cause for terror and wonder, I have enjoyed reading his twists and turns however, not everyone has my kinks or my stomach for such things. Kat is a fighter, I would struggle to read this thread otherwise and FM doesn't disappoint! I will surely enjoy watching how this plays out!

I was kinda surprised by this one but I started reading it the other night and while the whole small cock, large cock thing doesn't interested me per-say its the idea of a husband allowing his friend to be with his wife that drew me in.

Ok..I read the above, mainly because it's still a shortish thread so I wasn't over whelmed with too much reading in one go...

Inhales. God I don't know whether I like it or hate it. It's not a story I could write, and I definitely couldn't be comfortable with the language he uses on her. It's everything I really dislike in words and themes for a story.

BUT.

It's a riviting read. I think if it was written by anyone else but the FM and PG it would be tacky and just tasteless, which is really a very easy trap to sink into in such threads. But it doesn't, and while I just hate Travis, I feel sorry for him too...and I can't but admire his wife for not pleading and belittling herself more in appealing to him.
I don't know if I'll read on. I'll be honest. It's something that's going to stick in my head now for the day.And that's actually a compliment, cause if it didn't matter it would'nt.
I just don't know if I have the heart to read more as I can't see a ray of sunshine in this one. But it's well written, not beautiful..but very well written, with lots of thought put into posts and reactions, that make it very real, and a little too real for someone that likes the picket fenses and happy endings.
