I just came in from getting the mail. I do this everyday, only today, I was wearing a specific shirt. This shirt bore the names of soldiers who have died in Iraq and ond the front in red letters it says "Support our Remaining Troops" on the back it reads, "Bring the Rest Home Alive"...

I was stopped by some wanna be thug who rudely informed me that I was supporting "pigs" and "Mother Fucking Retards"...

I am not one who is generally at a lose for words, but all I could do was shake my head and walk away. The men and women of our Military, my Brother, my Uncle, and my Father, among them, are there so that this fool can run around like so Gangsta Rap Reject and yell anarchy and fuck the man.

Well Fuck people like that.

IF YOU CAN'T STAND BEHIND OUT TROOPS, FEEL FREE TO STAND IN FRONT OF THEM!

I've lost two family members in this godforsaken mess in the middle east - one died just months into it. I am adamantly against the war, but that has nothing to do with the folks over there doing their jobs. I support them, but this war has been a mongolian clusterfuck from the beginning when W thought he could just yeehaw his way through there, lying to everyone in the process.

It isn't the soldiers' fault, though. They're just doing their jobs the best they can.

I agree with that, My big brother is over there right now. I just tell people I don't support the war but I support the people who fight it. It gets alot of odd looks.

The persecution of individual soldiers by the anti-war movement during Vietnam was the worst mistake the Left ever made. As both Pixie and Cloudy point out, those troops are America's family. To this day, any fool that tries to blame the war in Iraq on the Army is asking for trouble. If this stupid kind of response grows, expect the GOP to take America back and hold if for another couple of generations.

I Remember when the deal in Iraq first started. I was in the 4th grade. I was scared to death for my big brother. Some kid spouted off that he was gonna die and I broke his nose, it took 2 teachers to pull me off of him... As mad as my mom was I don't think I'd ever heard my brother laugh so hard lol

Spoken as one who has worn the uniform of our country, that little shit better thank his lucky stars I wasn't with you or he would have had a mouth full of bloody enamel. What a fool.

Anti-military sentiment is all too pervasive in this country as promulgated by elements of the Left. It is often a by-product of Anti-War rhetoric; as if anyone is pro-war.

You did the right thing in walking away, pixie. Even a good thrashing can't heal a sick mind such as his.

[...] as if anyone is pro-war. [...]
Well, anyone except the Neo-Cons who dreamt up this debacle. And those on the Right (and sheep on the Left) who've pushed the government to spend more on the military than the rest of the world combined.

You brought up blaming "elements of the Left", TE999. Don't expect your snide remarks to go unnoticed.

We get that sort of thing over here.
One particularly unpleasant incident took place when a whole load of coffins came into Lyneham (they always do), each draped in a Union Flag. People stood quietly in respect as the column moved slowly past. Old Soldiers saluted, a priest blessed each one (you get the idea).

Then a bunch of Muslims unfolded placards accusing the military of committing murder. The Police had to be called to prevent a serious riot. Repatriation is now undertaken with great care to avoid such evens again.

Jeez, were those a bunch of suicidal jihadis or something? There seems to be a lack of understanding of how much damage a cricket bat can do.

Whats so great about the military per se? Its filled with morons and martinets and sissies and wool gatherers and feather merchants. For every Robert E. Lee and Audie Murphy there are 10000 shitbirds.

There should be 4 military medals and no more: One for the blood you shed, one for the enemies you kill, one for the risks you take, and one for the American lives you save. The rest of them are bullshit.

True sometimes bare knuckles get the job done, but a golf club produces such a statisfying crack when it hits...

Darlin', I'm in karate class 7 1/2 hours every single week (including advanced weapons training), and fight club on Saturdays. Trust me...I don't need a stinking golf club. :D

True, but there is such satisfaction watching the object's face as an ax handle approaches his eyebrows . . .

Ever been hit with chuks? Chuks used by someone who knows what they're doing?

:D

Are you kidding? I am a distance weapon kind of warrior. In college I was a respectable archer. In the Army I consistently shot Expert. Given a choice, I have great affection for artillery or tactical air cover. However, I am considering putting together a laminated single stick disguised as a gentleman's walking stick . . .
