does anyone have advice on how to go about experimenting with another guy. i'm 20 and i've always had girl friends and have never had a problem picking up. but i had an encounter at the gym a while back and my curiousity has been killing but i have no idea about how to go about it. i've asked a friend and they said try craigslist and i looked but it looks so shady. so any advice would be appreciated

Granted, there's a lot of sleaze going on Craigslist, but you can find some gems if you're persistent and discriminating. For my part, I write personal descriptions that are quite detailed about the kind of person I am and explicit about what, exactly, I'm looking for. It's a truism of advertising thatthe better your copy, the better the response. So really take the time to tell your story appealingly while standing your ground as to the kind of guy you want.

I've met a few decent guys on the regular men4men list, but where I really got an amazing result was, believe it or not, under the misc. romance category. There, I toned down the sexual terms, but made it clear I was looking for a gay man that I could spend quality intimate time with on an occasional NSA basis. (I prefer gay men, because, as a rule, they're quite down to earth, know what's what, and are conscientious ). I specified that he should be educated, articulate, professional and sexually adventurous. Happily, I had a response from a man who, as it turned out, I had much in common with, and was open to such an arrangement. He was also willing to communicate with me for some time, both of us getting to know each other and exchanging photos. When the time did come for us to meet in the flesh, it was very comfortable and pleasant. The sex was absolutely incredible.

Don't know if that helps, but if you take the time to find the right first-time partner, you'll feel a lot better about it when you're both getting naked. You've got to feel good with someone you're having sex with... especially when he's of the same sex. I believe so, anyway.

Well I cannot recommend CL...eek, scary.

What is it exactly that you are curious about? A date, oral sex, anal sex, giving, receiving, what?

How about your friend? Or do you have any (other) gay friends? Not saying him or them, although depending on how you and they feel about it, but it is certainly worth talking about, so it can always be a possibility.

Barring that, try one of the less cruisey gay bars. Or one of the more cruisey gay bars in your area.

There are other websites that cater to gay men looking for hookups, some are better than others. Although any anonymous hookup is always uncertain and somewhat scary.
