It seemed during WWII that the entire south half of Ottawa County and the upper half of Allegan County (MI) enlisted to fight the Germans even before the draft.
Many Intelligence people came from there. Dutch is a handy language it seems.
Belgique is handy too.
I speak, read and write seamless German and always did but I'm Dutch ... I'll have you know. ... how's my English by the way?
